My grandparents would stay here on their annual Florida trips during the 1950s and 60s. They would talk about the Hotel and its restaurant as a treasure, a haven, a generator of stories. They would talk about the food and the people they met. And especially they talked about the gracious culture of Georgia, far from the reserved, if not... More

Have made several trips to area to fish and hunt. Will never go back to this town. Police are insolent and only interested in writing tickets. Avoid at all costs. I personally will never go back to this town or county.

This hotel is going through renovations and can only be better. Stay tuned for info on reopen! It has been an amazing place for years, and LOVE the Tavery for a cocktail and music. Location is great and close to Carroll St Shopping---be sure to visit Mossy Creek Soap Studio by the Perry Library!!

Stayed one night in the "motel/motor lodge" side - the Audrey Hepburn room. It was clean enough, I guess, but the place is worn out. It's hard to feel like the room is clean when the porcelain is peeling off in layers in the bottom of the tub. And the room was a horrific pink and the oversized images of... More

Have to say, you can't beat the price, and the room had all the amenities of a fine hotel, was very comfy and nice (John Wayne room in new part). Be aware that if you have a room by the street (like this one) you will hear truck noise all night. But we were so disappointed (especially now, reading other... More

Old hotels are old and you must keep that in mind when staying in one. The rooms and bathrooms are smaller than modern hotels. The New Perry is a clean, old hotel that has been refurbished. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The best part about this hotel to me is the great restaurant and bar. When... More

We just returned home from a family reunion in Perry, Ga. We decided to book a room at The New Perry Hotel as I use to stay there on my way to Naples Florida in the eighties, I had always wanted to go back and enjoy the elegance and southern charm that this Hotel once held. Upon arriving we were... More

Stayed one night, at a delicious dinner of smoked ham with raisin sauce, fresh collards and to die for sweet potato fries, coffee was also fresh and hot. Our room was room 226, had two queen size beds, and we had a rollaway, so the room is fairly large. The theme of the room is Gone with the Wind. The... More

Trip was for a date weekend with my husband. I had "stumbled" across the web site and decided to take in the dinner show. It was not Broadway, but it was fun and enjoyable. Worth the price. and then back to the Tavery to listen to the live entertainment. Great music!. OK I am in love with this place and... More

“JUst ask them what is available. I stayed in the main hotel not the poolside rooms. No elevator, if you have heavy luggage, ask for a poolside room as they are all on ground floor. All main hotel rooms are on second floor.”
