Wonderful visit with Linda and Mike, the Owners. Beautiful setting, delightful conversations, and delicious breakfast. I will definitely be coming back for another visit. Good old fashioned charm surrounded by farms, mountains and waterfalls.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights as a surprise trip for my girlfriends birthday. Mike and Linda are great host and very good cooks. The place is rustic which was exactly what I was looking for. Linda was kind enough to show us the Mill in action as she was working to fill orders for the local farmers. Eating next...

This was one of those lucky finds. We wanted to visit the area for some fly fishing & hiking. We found them online & booked a long weekend. What a treat! Linda & Mike couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding & the service was impeccable. Do yourself a favor & let Linda make you dinner....

I wrote a review about Sylvan Falls several years ago when my husband and I stayed there for the first time, having read about it in Blue Ridge Country magazine. I love it just as much now as I did then. It is a beautifully rustic and peaceful place to forget about everything but just relaxing and listening to the...

The setting is beautiful, and Mike and Linda have made the most of it. Breakfast is a feast! This vacation was just what we needed: peace, quiet, connecting with nature. There's nothing quite like sitting in the common room or the breakfast patio and listening to the waterfall. There are shelves full of books, a closet full of board games,...

Mike and Linda truly know the hospitality business. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast was yummy and quite filling, and on top of the good food, you eat on a lovely screened porch, overlooking the waterfall. Wonderful! We took our dog and he enjoyed himself as well. Our room was large and comfortable....

This place is ideal for those liking waterfalls, good hospitality (Linda and Mike couldn't have been nicer), an opportunity to see a working grist mill (that dates to 1840!) (and sample its output), and have a tasty breakfast (ours was fruit, scones, and waffles). This may have been one of the better B&B's we've visited over the years. Our room...

Sylvan Falls Mill is just a delightful B&B in the N Ga mountains. We stayed for a couple of nights in this quaint, delightful B&B complete with a working grist mill. Comfortable rooms and delicious breakfasts served on a screened porch overlooking the waterfall and old working water wheel make for a unique experience. Linda and Mike are great hosts!

Having been to many B&B's, Sylvan Falls Mill was a not quite what I had expected from the website. The location with grist mill and waterfall was pretty. Linda and Mike were kind hosts who were managing everything without outside help. Breakfast was served on Limoges china. The property/house needed maintenance and serious cleaning. Our waterfall room smelled of mildew...

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and precise review. Being as our location is on a waterfall in a rain forest we always battle moisture in our rooms. We strive to keep clean and fresh and will work harder to improve our future guest experiences. We did see that you enjoyed the area and other locations in our county...

The historic Sylvan Falls Mill, located in the scenic mountains of north east Georgia, is celebrating its 175th year of operation. It is unique among other gristmills, in that it is located below a 100-foot cascading waterfall, and the mill is powered by a 27-foot water wheel, which is one of the largest in the United States. Mike and Linda Johnson have operated the Bed and Breakfast since 2001 and have enjoyed sharing the natural beauty of the property with guests from all over the world. The four beautifully appointed guest rooms feature queen size beds, private baths, refrigerators, and WIFI. Breakfasts are served on the screen porch overlooking the falls and feature organic, local and seasonal fare. ... more   less
