I understand the campground was hit pretty hard last year by the hurricane but after 6 months you would think they had cleaned it up , they haven't ! And it looks terrible ! No see-ems will carry you away !!!

Sites were large and well spaced so you weren't right on top of your neighbor. Park is heavily wooded with trees so driving a larger rig is a little tight. A few trails to explore along with a boat pier for fishing.

We were super excited to visit Fort McAllister. We stayed in my mother-in-law's RV and some of us pitched tents outside. The little biting Gnats were horrendous!! We weren't prepared for the swarms! They were coming in clouds so thick we could see them coming....More

Staff friendly. Was so glad they told me about the bat boxes, very interesting to watch at dusk. They do need more bat boxes and the gnats/mosquitos were horrible. Campground was average. Dump station in need of repair, sewage backs up when dumping, maybe not...More

Gnats and mosquitos are always a problem in the summer in the South. We use the backyard bug spray and it keeps them out of your camp site.

No. It's an outdoor park. Turn your phone off and enjoy being outside in nature.
