After reading all the reviews on Trip Advisor I was excited to get to Malihom. I decided not to be deterred or even annoyed by the lack of clarity or assistance in how best to arrive to Malihom (I sent three emails asking two questions they finally responded on the third email). My partner has travelled extensively through south east...

Dear Caitlin B, Thank you for your recent stay with us at Malihom and for taking the time to post this review. I was sad and sorry to read your comments regarding your recent experience at Malihom. it is hard to imagine anywhere else on Penang being better than Malihom in our view. We wanted a relaxing place to stay, a place with local character but with no need for beaches or the noise and bustle of Georgetown. We found Malihom on the web and tuck the plunge and we were not disappointed. For a start it...

We stayed at Malihom over 3 days with our kids in tow and it was really beautiful. I have to start by saying I am completely confused by the odd reviews I read complaining about the pool or staff. The pool was frigging beautiful. Amazing view. Stunning. The staff were also completely lovely and so helpful. They cooked extra food...

Spent the night here on the 13th till 14th February expecting great things after hearing about the rave reviews and spectacular rating. However, I couldn't agree with everything. The only good part about this hotel is the people as in the servers (which have difficulty explaining or understanding English) and manager, James. The people here are really friendly so I...

A beautiful place almost in the clouds of Penang Island. We had only booked for one night before leaving Malaysia. Wished we had stayed longer. The cabins very accommodating, and the old world evening meal fun.

We had 2 nights here and wish we could have had at least one more. It is a beautiful piece of paradise high in the hills above Penang. Our converted rice barn was amazing. Our view towards Georgetown was stunning. The staff were friendly and attentive when needed and invisible when not needed. Our cares vanished and we totally relaxed...

I couldn't believe my senses when I arrived at the top...the view alone was enough to make me cry...the fresh cool air and the sound of nature just took my breath away. What I found even harder to believe was the service and the accommodation. I am amazed at how they manage to provide all the facilities, beyond what you...

We absolutely love Malihom, from its beautiful pool overlooking the forest and sea to the peace and tranquility of the resort. We were there for Christmas and although we were told the resort was fully occupied, it hardly saw or hear anyone. We stayed in Sanook, however we were slightly disappointed that the bath tub featured in the pictures on...

Malihom, a private estate, perched on the crest of the southern end of Penang, offers a tranquil getaway. Our unique location offers stunning and uninterrupted panoramas from every room, providing all our guests with ever-changing but always immense and breathtaking views. The fresh air, myriad sounds of the birds and stunning views are a feast for your senses whilst delighting in our array of home cooked cuisine and carefully selected collection of wines. We are an intimate boutique Retreat offering a more personal style of service and an intimate atmosphere that is only found in boutique establishments. The estate comprises a cluster of traditional Thai rice barns which have been carefully converted with modern comforts while respecting traditional charms. There are generous indoor and outdoor seating areas to allow guests to soak in the views and the cool breeze from the horizon as well as yoga and holistic therapies offering an array of relaxing treatments. At the hub of the estate lies the main wing which centers the reception, dining and living areas. The barns are linked to the main wing by way of footpaths. Each barn, with its own unique character has a private garden or a deck. This arrangement provides guests with privacy and seclusion.
