Rooms are average: spacious and relatively clean but nothing much to shout about. Pillows are too soft for my liking. The highlight of this hotel has to be its rooftop restaurant that comes with great panaromic views of the entire town of Tawau. Breakfast is acceptable with a fair share of choices / varieties.

The hotel is situation in Tawau town and pretty much the tallest building in Tawau Staff were friendly and helpful Sadly they said their credit card machine was busted and i had to head over to an ATM nearby Room is clean and bed was comfy too Sky Bar is the highlight of the hotel Awesome view during sunset and food is pretty good and decently priced Overall is a decent place to stay if your in town

This is the tallest hotel in Tawau. Cosy clean rooms. Ask for a sea view room, it is worth the extra cost. No gym or swimming pool. Basic buffet breakfast. The staff was very responsive to our requests. There is convenience store cum cafe outside the entrance.

We stayed at the LA hotel overnight on route to Semporna to visit the islands of Mabul and Bum Bum. The highlight of this hotel for me was the shower, it was wonderful - especially after weeks of travelling! The breakfast was also pretty good the following morning. We enjoyed the SkyBar in the evening. However, I cannot rate this hotel higher because unfortunately it absolutely stank of cigarettes in our room. I have to deduct a star for this!

The hotel perhaps is the newest hotel at town centre compared to many of the budget hotels nearby which looks old. The rooms are nice and clean with free breakfast. Friendly staff. The hotel has a roof top beer garden & cafe and a convinient store downstairs known as Big Mug. I had a good 2 weeks stay there.

I have done some research about hotels in Tawau and finally come to this one. I booked direct to this hotel website and paid by paypal but there is no issuance of hotel voucher or confirmation. I waited for half a day and decided to email through their website but received no reply. The next day I decided to email direct but not receiving any reply again until the following day and I called direct. The reservation lady confirmed receiving my email but said the hotel internet was unstable which made them unable to reply. Luckily I obtained my hotel voucher. I checked in but surprising that the check in counter staff were all Malay speaking, none of them were be able to speak in English. Not to mention Mandarin when there are a lot of Chinese are coming to town and Semporna. Luckily one staff from back office helped in communication. The room bath towels were old and yellow in colour with many stains. Room guests are recommended to bring own towels to this hotel. There are only 5 tv channels: 3 Malay channels, one English and one Japanese. I did not see any Japanese in Tawau throughout my 2 day stay but saw quite a number of mainland Chinese. At mid night I was awake by small ants bites then saw hundreds of small ants at bed side table. I was too tired to ask for room change at mid night but suspect rotten food underneath the bed.…

The ride from the airport to LA Hotel is approximately 35 mins . Checked in for 2 nights stay on 8 December 2018. Room 803 is clean and simple with basic amenities . There is no chest drawers to store our under garments etc. The wardrobe is without doors. Safe box was still locked, maintenance responded fast to help open for our use. Room has wonderful view of the city and sea. We like the high pressure of the shower , but a word of caution is the wash basin cold/hot water tap is not indicated hence one might get scalded by the supposedly common right hand knob for cold water. Hotel only serve breakfast in the Rafflesia Cafe and Room service for a la carte till 2.30pm ,nevertheless there are some restaurants nearby within walking distance. The Roof Garden Lounge seems to be fully occupied at the front seats by locals enjoying the views and sceneries , probably we need to be early to reserve the seats for some drinks. Despite us telling the hotel , we could not connect the wireless internet to our laptops for the entire stay !!! Hopefully this is resolved for our next stay !!!…

Basic hotel with good amenities. Love the location - we appreciate having a 24-hour restaurant right in front (we love the Tawau pisang goreng!). There's also a karaoke joint so that's a pretty interesting way to spend your night. Not much breakfast selection though. I'd advise you to go out and look for local food.

This smallish hotel has adequate facilities for a comfortable short stay. Regarded as quite luxurious by small town standards.The room looked rather plain and basic at first. But it was clean. Strong satisfying shower. Firm and comfortable bed. Toiletries were complete. Everything worked well. The prices of the rooms varies with the view and level.
