Rooms are average: spacious and relatively clean but nothing much to shout about. Pillows are too soft for my liking.
The highlight of this hotel has to be its rooftop restaurant that comes with great panaromic views of the entire town of Tawau.
Breakfast is acceptable with a fair share of choices / varieties.

It’s a simple and god hotel. Rooftop bar offers an excellent view of Tawau and just in front of the hotel there’s a convenience shop that you can get food, drinks and souvenirs. Hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfast is simple and tasty.

This is the tallest hotel in Tawau. Cosy clean rooms. Ask for a sea view room, it is worth the extra cost. No gym or swimming pool. Basic buffet breakfast. The staff was very responsive to our requests. There is convenience store cum cafe outside the entrance.

My colleagues and I stayed for three nights in this hotel while attending a local event in Tawau. Being a small town in Sabah, Tawau does not boast any international hotel with five star quality. The room that was allocated to me was reasonably modern; with standard furniture but nothing extraordinary. The wardrobe is the open type and there are no drawers in the room. This is to be expected as the room rate is RM238 per night. However the room and the bathroom are kept clean and sheets are changed daily. Perhaps this kind of room rates fit in with the requirements of guests staying in this small town hotel. I was fortunate to get a room having a scenic sea front. Guests may want to request for the sea view when staying here.
The buffett breakfast, a mixture of local Malaysian and Western cuisines, is quite satisfactory but not really fantastic as in five star hotels. I find the hotel staff very friendly, well trained by the management I guess and this a good selling point for the hotel. It also provides a reasonably priced shuttle service to Tawau airport at RM35 per person.

I booked a four-day-three-night stay in this hotel upon the recommendation of a local and was very happy with the decision.
As I was in town for work, the surroundings of the hotel was not important. It is in the town area with rows of shops within walking distance.
I just wanted clean amenities and easy access to taxis and eateries which is what I got. The room came with toiletries, hangers, extra pillow, slippers, towels, TV (sports news n NatGeo), aircon, complimentary drinking water , coffee n tea sachets, iron+ironing board(had to call housekeeping first but it was mine for 4 days) and a waterfall showerhead!
The breakfast was good enough for me : juice, tea, coffee, water, porridge + condiments (8 choices), rice, chicken, vege, fruits, noodles, sausages, eggs, baked beans, bread+butter+jam... menu varied from day to day.
The hotel people I dealt with were nice folks (no highbrow standoffish business I get sometimes at other hotels).
I will definitely be back.

This is my 3rd times stay in the LA hotel and I paid $148 for the deluxe room. I think this price is reasonable as it locate in the town center and you can have live band bar / lounge / restaurant next to the hotel.

Since I come to LA Hotel entrance , I feel so comfartable. The bellboy very helpfull (M.Taib) The Front Desk (Ms Norlida ) always with her smile to see my face eventhough She speak on the phone. A room very nice & clean.. But, I think this hotel must hv the swimming pool. No reason for not stay at this LA Hotel.
