My family and I recently completed a stay in the timeshares of Fairfield Plantation. We were given points from a family member's "vacation club" so the stay didn't cost us anything. I mention that because beggars can't be choosers and it wasn't our money spent...More

For anyone who read this review I would just like to add the following. Yes, you can bring a kayak or SUP and launch it directly from the Tara Cove (there are some rocks...) or from the beach next to our pool, where the geese...More

This was the only extended stay rental I could find in the area. I would have preferred something a little more closer to shopping and dining as it is off the beaten path, but once you are on the property it is quaint and relaxing....More

I am upset to read about the customer service shortcomings. We are always striving for complete customer satisfaction and I have to find out what happened here. We are taking reservations over the phone all the time, unless it is for online specials that we...More

Our condo had everything we needed; but my favorite was the screened in porch; lots of space to spread out inside; close to the pool; so many other activities too like nature trails, marina, recreational center. If you boat, this place would be heaven. Plus...More

Hi, hope someone can help who knows about Fairfield Plantation. We live in Marietta, Ga. and I am hoping to plan a getaway not far away for my husband who has IPF. He requires oxygen, and must pull a two wheel oxygen cart when he walks. He can walk short distance and manage a few steps. We are interested in a two bedroom waterfront unit. We need to be able to park the car close to the door of the unit. From reading the reviews I am interested in the #229 waterfront villa. Does the villa have its own parking near the door of the unit? I called and a lady recommended a unit at the Cove, but my impression is that at the Cove there is one universal parking lot - so parking might be a far distance. Also how many steps do the waterfront villas have to the door? Is it uphill from parking to the door? I have a transport chair to push him on paved areas, but uphill would be hard. If we can park near the unit, it will work. I want waterfront so that he can enjoy the view as he has such limited mobility. Information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Vikki, The Tara Villas Lake Front might work, but there is a narrow path about 150 yards from the parking to the entrance, which has 5 steps up to the unit. Once inside it should be alright, as it's all one level. I hope... More

Yes, you can. However, there are strict rules that govern it by the Homeowners association. Also, there are not any docks to keep the boat in the water, which means you will need to pull it in and out of the water each... More

Greetings! No, you're not able to rent boats in the area. The property owners associations (HOA) decided against that. I hope this helps.
