Casuarina Pines Villas is a lovely place. Hylene and Ellis couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive to all our needs. The property is perfectly situated on a quiet beach. The villas are up-to-date and thoroughly cleaned each day. Hylene's superb Bahamian cooking made each meal special. She should really write a cookbook featuring her special recipes!

All in all, a wonderful relaxing stay!

This is a great spot on a beautiful beach. The cottages are spotless and Hylene is a wonderful host. It’s a very reasonable price for beautiful accommodations on a gorgeous beach. It’s also walking distance to the town and the marina. I can highly recommend Casuarina Pines.

Great location, beach front. Very well appointed accommodation with full kitchenette. Housekeeping daily. Very clean
Staff and management went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. We had some family rent at Crocked Island Lodge and this place was so much better!!! Price was substantially less

This hidden gem of the Bahamas is not for everyone. I and a few others have been lucky enough to find Crooked Island with its natural beauty above and beneath the water, pleasant residents and fantastic fishing. History attracted me. After the American Revolution there were perhaps as many as 40 Loyalist owned properties on the islands of the area. There is not enough water to sustain large cotton crops. Only one home ruin from the time remains.
My visits to Crooked Island have been hosted by the Gibson and Moss families. Casuarina Villas is a group of cottages, some with one bedroom, some with two. The cottages are sparkling, have bath, cooking facilities, air conditioning and are directly on the clearest ocean water you can imagine. Food can be arranged with the Gibson families.
The island is a place for nature lovers. Tours about the land and waters can be arranged. Crooked Island is world class bone fishing territory. Lepidopterist seek unusual butterflies and for the very brave and qualified there is cave diving.
Getting to Crooked Island is through Nassau or another of Bahamas entry points. Some folks take their own planes, or yachts.
Casuarina and Crooked Island can be a delightful experience.

Cassuarina Pine Villas, a secret spot that I now discover to the world, experience one of the most beautiful islands of The Bahamas, with the hospitality of Hiline and Kenny who will take you fishing, see caves, snorkeling. You will have a villa right on the beach and the price what???? so affordable you will think you are dreaming

Named after the Casuarina Pine trees in front of the hotel, Casuarina Pines Villas is located on a white sand beach on the west side of Crooked Island where you have turquoise water just a few feet outside your cabin. There is little current, so swimming is good and the rocks in the water make for real good snorkeling as they provide lots of hiding places for fish.

Casuarina Pines Villas has a main building where the restaurant is, 4 large studio cabins and one 2 bedroom villa. All building exteriors are painted in white with different accent colors (orange, yellow, green, pink, blue and purple).
The studio cabins are exceptionally clean and the furniture appears brand new. They have 2 queen beds, a kitchenette with pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, cutting board, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, electric stove, fridge and freezer, TV and a quiet and efficient A/C.
The TV has no TV channels. It can connect wirelessly to the internet so that you can watch free YouTube or Netflix if you have a subscription.
Casuarina Pines Villas has free, fast and reliable wifi that is password protected.
Besides towels and washcloths, soap, conditioning shampoo and lotion, two beach towels are provided.
There are also clothes hangers, an iron, ironing board and a broom.

All villas face west and you can see the beach and turquoise ocean waters from your bed. Each of the villas has a deck that is facing the beach and has with 2 chairs. About half way from the green villa to the beach is a covered area with a hammock and beach chairs and loungers for all guests to use. Wifi from our pink cabin (house #3) reached all the way out there. Next to the covered area is an outdoor shower.

The hotel is close enough to the Landrail Point settlement so that you can easily walk the 0.5 miles (1km) to e.g. the supermarket in town and it is far enough away that you can have nearly total solitude. The road into town that google maps shows does not exist; the existing road is actually only half the distance into town. Don’t worry, it is the only road here, so you cannot get lost.

Casuarina Pines Villas are managed by Hylene Moss and her husband Ellis. They are some of the nicest people and Hylene constantly managed to exceed our expectations. One day I told her that I need to make an appointment for our Covid test and asked her about the clinic. The next thing I know is that she had made appointments for us.
Hylene can get you a rental car, bicyles and even kayaks. There is no free airport pick-up from Colonel Hill airport (CRI) and you will either need to pay her for the airport transfer or, as we did, get a cheaper car rental. The price of gasoline varied between $6 and $7 per gallon in November and December 2021.

To make a long story short: We loved Casuarina Pines Villas and plan to come back soon.
