Arrived in Drumbeg late afternoon and decided to look for somewhere to eat later. We came across the Drumbeg Hotel. I went in and asked if they had a menu I could look at for an evening meal. I was handed a menu and was asked when I would be eating to which I replied it would be that evening....

Great stay in the highlands. The Drumbeg has been a fishing hotel for ages. The rooms are old, there's no Wi-Fi or cell service but that's not why you're there. The locals are in the bar at night and it's really friendly (See if you can beat Brian at pool or darts), Owners are really nice and the food is...

Plus as I was checking out the man said he'd rather I had not stayed, it's unfair to say that, I got a bit offended. Too quiet there, a 35 minute drive off the main road and if your car doesn't start in the morning you'll be screwed

The Hotel and the furniture were simple and clean. The team was very friendly. The breakfast was delicous. We had dinner one evening and this was very good, too. The doors were not soundproof but overall it was a quiet place. Books available.

Drumbeg is a remote wee community well served by this hospitality provider. We stayed in room 6, large spacious with a large bathroom and full length bath, no shower screens but a shower hose. Antique comfortable furniture. The proprietors have welcomed staff for over 10 years and offer home cooked food in a nice dining room. There are plenty of...

The location is the best part of staying. We stayed here a few years ago and nothing appears to have changed! Still all very friendly and extremely remotely wonderful. If your looking for luxurious accommodation this is not for you however as a base to explore this amazing art of the country - ideal, not cheap, but ideal!

Family owned (although now selling) friendly village pub/ hotel. Great bar, dining is in half hour slots so that food is fresh. Young couple got engaged when we were there, made for a most enjoyable evening. Rooms good but stairs a little tight if you are of advancing years.

The best thing about Drumbeg is the drive in and out (known as the Drumbeg loop). The scenery is really spectacular and the area feels very remote. The hotel itself is comfortable enough. Meal in the dining room was OK, the bar is quite small and full of locals talking about fishing in the evening. There are some intersting historical...

We had stayed here before in 2004 when it was run by a French chef and were disappointed to find how, given that it is a bit more expensive than most B&Bs, it seemed to be slipping into graceful decline. Although we were the only guests that night the owner seemed suprised to see us when we arrived which, once...

A friendly family run hotel which is a great base for exploring this part of Scotland. Access via single track road which can be difficult until you get used to it. Spectacular scenery is every direction. Some lovely beaches nearby eg Clashnessie and Clachtoll. We also drove up to Durness from here and went to Balnakeil Bay - more white...
