We had one of the motel rooms that was near the street. It included a family room with flat screen/kitchen/dining room. All cooking necessities and a fridge were provided. Our bedroom had a queen size bed and a bunk with a full bottom and twin top. The room was large. Our bathroom had the largest soaking tub I've ever seen,...

It was a very cozy room. At first I thought that I was going to like it because our room was facing the street but ending up liking it because we sat outside at our little bistro set and felt part the vibe of the small town. The room was a little out dated but not to much still comfortable....

The Home Hotel is only half a block from the state-run baths in Lava Hot Springs which are truly the best run baths in the area. The Home was build in the early 20th Century, but the owners have renovated all the rooms, each one with a particular artist's theme. There's the Picasso, the Van Gogh, the Klimpt, the Cassatt,...

Love this hotel! It is right next door to the springs. I also love the small town atmosphere and how it is feasible to walk to whatever you need to get to. The rooms are not updated or new by any means but are clean and well maintained. The customer service is fabulous and we will be visiting again for...

This hotel is awesome exactly as pictured in the website and the people here are particularly kind. Kathy for example just came out I was sitting in the front on the way back from the hot pools and I had my towel draped over a railing to dry. Don't you think she came out and offered to put it in...

Four adults and two children stayed in the house. It was nice and clean. The kitchen had everything, even a BLENDER! Coffee was offered in the lobby and our room had a coffee maker, but no coffee. The fenced in yard was nice for the kids. I would stay again!

A few nitpicky things could be mentioned, but overall a great place to stay. The bed was a little too firm, but not enough to make sleeping uncomfortable. The walls a little thin, but that is to be expected in a cute little old building such as this. (Perhaps the gap under the door could be addressed, though.) Having said...

It's a very nice older place. The double size bath tub fed by natural hot spring water was the best. We also felt that there was just a warm feeling about our room even though a snow storm came through over night. And the town of Lava is a real cool "retro" type of place.

I think for this little town this is a good choice, small rooms, nothing special at all but clean, good tv channels, close to the public pools, very good service. Cost was fair. Really good free coffee and tea in lobby. Had room on Main Street, could be very noisy in a busier time of year.

I dealt with 3 different people and all 3 went out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed. I love the private hot tub in my room and the hotel's naturally heated pool is just for guests . I can't wait until next trip when we can try the newly remodeled rooms I just learned about.
