This property is large and meant for a big group of people. Unlike impersonal companies that own rental properties, this owner lives on the land next to the house and did everything in her power to make sure our stay went well. Didn't know it was a hostel, but it just appears to be a house that the owner just...

I rented out the whole facility. It was so great. They have everyone you need. They just added a new room and bathroom. It has a great atmosphere next to a river and has a great porch to hang out at. Elsa is awesome and so accommodating. I would highly recommend staying there. It is super clean as well.

It was late, I was tired. I'd already driven 13 and I had 12 more to go so all I wanted was a clean bed, a hot breakfast and to wake up with some change in my pocket. Thank you, Elsa!! The hostel was clean, easy to find and I felt safe - even though I was the only one...

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. I didn't want to stay at a dirty old motel, and I was happy to see I made the right choice. It appears to be a home that was converted to a hostel, so you have some homely comforts including a nice common living room and kitchen. Surprisingly the kitchen has just about...

We are a family of 5 and Hostel Boise has been the best place to stay. We visit family several times a year in the Boise area and love to stay here. It's slow paced, our boys can play outside, and it's always clean and inviting. Plus we meet some of the best people and enjoy swaping travel story's. We've...

My stay in Boise to visit my son and grandson was made all the more enjoyable due to a couple of quiet and friendly days spent at Hostel Boise. A nice atmosphere in which to unwind after busy hours with family. The staff were helpful and the accommodations a real value for the cost. I think it is the best...

My husband and myself moved to Boise area. We stayed in this hostel while waiting for our house to close. We spent about 2 weeks in this lovely hostel. It was our first experience in a hostel and we were very apprehensive about the idea of a hostel. BUT, we should've not! Elsa, the owner, and Carl, the manager and...

A a solo, over 60 female traveler, safety & comfort are my primary concerns in selecting a place to rest along the way. This is my first 'Hostel': and this name 'Hostel' does not describe this wonderful & well cared for establishment. As an experienced traveler, this was more like an 'B&B'! My original stay was for a couple of...

It is out in the middle of nowhere but it is quite an oasis if you have a way to get there. The garden and outside areas are nice and the inside is pretty comfy. This is the first hostel I've stayed at that had a pumpkin patch! I had most of the house to myself and if you get...

I've stayed here a number of times while visiting the Boise area and it's always been a pleasant experience. Nice homey living room and kitchen areas and a good selection of books. The owners are the ones staffing the desk, so you know it's a family-owned kind of place.
