This is a rustic bed and breakfast located in the small northern Idaho town of Rathdrum. It is isolated, quiet and has lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Rooms are small. Beds are comfortable. Most rooms share a bathroom with at least one other bedroom. The breakfasts are made from scratch and are delicious. The host couple are extremely interesting...

Our family stayed in two next door neighbour rooms that slept all four of us comfortably. Breakfast was waffles with lots of fruit sauces and was absolutely delicious. The next day's breakfast was equally delicious with a yummy frittata and wonderful toast with fruit jam. Our whole family, especially my two teenage daughters, liked picking raspberries and the tour in...

Ellen & Per Larsen are wonderful hosts, full of information & stories. The B & B is clean & well kept (beds are very comfy). Delicious & healthy breakfasts. Fun to tour the organic veggie/ fruit garden & talk with Ellen who is a seasoned gardener, harvester, & cook, meet Minnie & Moose (great dogs!), learn about the area, &...

We travel between Western WA and MT for family visits. This is a great 20 minute detour from I-90, back into quiet woods and wildlife. We felt like visiting friends in a family home some of which is converted for B & B guests. Lots of memorabilia, books, videos etc. Shared bathroom for 3 in-house accomodations and one en suite...

My husband, children and I stayed in "Slim's Cabin" while there. It is a very neat, rustic little cabin in a very nice spot. There's a bedroom, loft bed, full bathroom and full kitchen. It has a very neat history, and is the original cabin, with exposed log beams and tons of character. The kitchen, bath and loft were added...

This was so dissappointing in everyway! A complete Joke! We stayed in the rustic cabin which is off away from the primary B&B.We were charged $150.00 per night. However it was filthy, bug infested.Dishes in the sink. Dust still on tables. This place was not even cleaned before hand.Makes you wonder if the sheets were cleaned! Seriously, this turned out to be one...

I remember Carla. There were some ants that wanted to share the cabin with her and I immediately put out some bait. But it takes a few days to work. I don't understand the bad rating on the rest of the services nor the extremely negative tone. I always do my best whether it be food preparation, cleaning the site,...

we stayed in "slim slocum's" renovated cabin, it had alot of potential, but looked like it hadn't been cleaned for about a year or so. It had dead bugs all over the floor, mouse bait tins on the bedroom floor and kitchen, and carpenter ants in the bathroom. The fridge wasn't working or plugged in, the t.v. and cable were...

There were some ants that wanted to share the cabin with the guest and I immediately put out some bait. But it takes a few days to work. You can't get more organic than my garden or the breakfast I make. I am sorry if the weather was so hot that the cross breeze from the window aided by the...

This was my first experience staying at a bed & breakfast.I found it to be all of what its advertising said it was.We stayed in the suite and both my husband and I said it was one of the most comfortable beds we had ever slept it.The views from this bed and breakfast are breathtaking. You are nestled back in a...

“We stayed in 2 different rooms (1 going to destination, 1 coming home) with a queen bed- both opened onto a deck, where you could birdwatch & star-gaze. I really liked the SE room with a little window above the bed- I could see the moon & Venus in the early morning! All very quiet.”
