We had an amazing surprise when we arrived at the Blue Heron! We saw deer, moose, beaver, goats, an owl and too many other beautiful birds to name. This was an awesome find! The accomidationis were wonderful and the breakfast in the morning was outstanding! We soaked in the spa by the full moon and played the wii with the... More

Not only is this lodge like bed and breakfast beautiful on a scenic piece of property, the innkeepers are there each morning to greet us with the most amazing gourmet breakfast in the dining room. The rooms are spacious and immaculate with wonderful beds and bedding and very nice bathrooms. We had the "lodge" to ourselves and other guests to... More

My husband and I were spending the day in Yellowstone and needed a place to stay on the way back to SLC. I called in the morning and they had a room left. We arrived quite late because we got side tracked on the way by moose that I HAD to photograph. There was a nice note on the door... More

I wanted to live there. Beautiful western log and stone home with all the amenities in a perfect river front setting. Fall trip allowed us to have the door to our private porch over looking the Snake river, open most of the time. Quiet. Did not hear the nearby highway at all. Huge breakfast. World class fly-fishing nearby. Very helpful... More

A friend and I were traveling to West Yellowstone and found this B & B on the internet. What a lovely surprise. It is a beautiful setting, a lovely home, and a wonderful breakfast. I really enjoyed visiting with Dennis and Sandy and would highly recommend this inn for travelers!!! Weta Phillips

This is the second time we've stayed at the Blue Heron Inn, and it certainly won't be the last. The setting is picturesque, and the inn itself is clean, comfortable, and really beautiful. I sat on the back porch, read a book, and enjoyed the view of the Snake River, while my husband took a nap. It's close to Idaho... More

Delightful, all around! The accommodations were very nice, the main lodge felt like a beautiful home that I was visiting, and the breakfast was outstanding. Great place to get away, enjoy some nature and serenity, and dip in the hot tub on the back porch!

Unlike many travelers to this inn, we were not going to Yellowstone - we were headed from Missoula to the Craters of the Moon and on to Sun Valley. I looked long and hard for a place close to Craters that would be more than a roadside motel. I am not a hotel snob, but I do like a level... More

We didn't spend much time here, but it was time well spent. We arrived after dark, our room view was nothing but stars. How lovely to wake up to the beautiful view we couldn't see in the dark! Our room was spacious and lovely. Bathroom was spacious as well and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed lovely conversation... More

This place is something of a paradox. The grounds are immaculate. The buildings are beautiful. The setting is idyllic. But there's this one thing...... It sits on a bend of the Snake River. In the morning, the sun reflected into our room with a peaceful ambiance. The grounds are large and manicured. The main lodge is as close to perfect... More
