We are staying at Pueu Village for 2 weeks, run by Victor. The ocean is 10 metres away. We saw whales breaching beyond the reef on our first day.Waves breaking on reef 1KM out from hut. Woken by waves breaking in the morning. Victor and his wife Blandine can't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.Very affordable. A very affordable...

We didn't want to leave this place! Victor was very good at communicating before arriving. He took us to the supermarket on arrival to buy food. Free bike rental meant we could access a beautiful beach with waves and a quiet river with stunning views. It is located in "little Tahiti", a bit of a trek from the airport by...

I was looking forward to celebrating our anniversary with an authentic Polynesian experience, far from the westernized resorts. Based on the reviews on Travelocity we chose A Pueu Village, a place that seemed clean and enjoyable. We booked 4 months ahead. It took us a long time to find the place because there was no proper signage. We pulled in...

I write this review after reading Henriette P1. What did you expect in Tahiti for $60/night? We stayed with Victor and Blandine for 3 days at the end of Nov 2012. Victor met us at the airport and took us shopping as we did not have a car. Blandine took my wife to the beach near Gaugin's museum. And they...

The four chalets on this property are crammed into a corner of garden overlooking a very nice sheltered lagoon with excellent swimming from ladders. But that is the only saving grace. The chalets are only five meters apart and only twenty meters off a very busy road. The only distraction from the traffic noise is your neighbour’s conversation next door....

Hello I want to say that this is the only negative comment that our company recorded: most of our customers have been delighted with their stay. Our establishment is not responsible disorders committed by our guests. It is unthinkable that our staff go hang clothes hosts in their suitcases. These clothes were scattered on the floor intentionally to take a...

Victor and Blandine treated us extremely well during our 5 day stay. We really enjoyed the bungalow, a perfect getaway for two people. Tahiti is a very busy island but Pueu Village on Tahiti Iti is in one of the quieter parts of the island. This makes it a wonderful place to just slow down. The snorkeling right outside our...

Spent three days in Pueu Village with another couple in March, 2013, and what a terrific and relaxing time it was...a great way to kick off our trip. Victor and Blondin were wonderful hosts, giving us some ideas of things to see and do, and providing coffee in the AM. The bungalows are in good condition, and provide a great...

A very relaxing and enjoyable 4 days. Victor and Blandine are fantastic hosts! As I do not drive, the meals and Victor's willingness to take me places was much appreciated. Every day, Victor and Blandine always checked to see what I needed and the meals were much appreciated...I especially loved having breakfast each morning on the deck outside my bungalow....

This was our first introduction to French Polynesia, the beginning of a two month trip. Overall, A Pueu Village was a good experience. The location was far from anything useful and a car became essential to see the island or get supplies. The hosts were very kind but other reviewers seem to have had better luck with having meals, coffee,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a Tahitian family. We will be happy to welcome you to TAHITI and to be of any help we can. You can experience the authentic Polynesian lifestyle in relaxing surroundings. We are less than one hour from FAAA airport. PUEU VLLAGE is located on the northern coast, in the peninsula of Tahiti iti, in a small bay, sheltered by a reef. Here is its position: latitude: 17 ° 44'15 .18 "S, longitude 149 ° 13'31 .28" O. It is nestled in a lush tropical vegetation in a protected from the prevailing winds that blow in a southeasterly direction handle. So we are protected from the prevailing winds. Our lagoon, due to its position, stays calm and is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and sea kayaking. The bungalows are built at a very short distance from the lagoon, only ten meters from the sea. There is easy access to PUEU VLLAGE by road or by boat. The bus stops at the request in front of the guesthouse. Our guest house and chalets are perfectly located to explore all the spots of this beautiful island. There are good restaurants, snacks and supermarkets in the area. Iti Diving, equestrian center Rauvau, and Musee Gauguin (The Gauguin Museum) are a 15-minute drive away. Lavatubes of Hitia'a and Golf Atimaono are 30 minutes drive away. The Marae Arahurahu and transverse road Papenoo are 40 minutes drive away. The inaccessible area of Te Pari Cave Vaipoiri is a 40-minute speed boat. We look forward to seeing you soon. ... more   less
