We loved staying in the Alise. The hotel is beautiful. Much of the 1890's feel in preserved. The staff is so helpful and pleasant to work with. The Alise is within walking distance to many of Chicago's attractions as well as bus routes and the El. There were fun amenities like Dash, the toy husky, in each room, pineapple cupcakes...

Dear Raisinofwrath, Thank you for giving us the distinction of "best hotel in Chicago"! That's quite an honor, and a sentiment we can get behind. The Reliance Building that The Alise Chicago calls home was one of the first modern day skyscrapers, built in 1895. We've preserved the original doors on our historic floors, and the mosaic tiles in our...

Please be aware of the egregious parking fee. It's through a 3rd party and costs $58 a day. When I spoke to the people who I booked through they did not tell me, nor did the valet. Called the front desk and they offered no assistance. The sign is posted inconspicuously to the left of the door; something you don't...

My stay at this hotel was the best. It's situated around a lot of places within walking distance. I definitely will stay here again. There's a lot of shopping around, restaurants, the Theatre is close by.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, our location definitely provides a great opportunity for Chicago shopping and entertainment. We hope you had a chance to visit some of the shops at Block 37 and our own famous Atwood restaurant. Spring is just around the...

I was here on business as my office was directly opposite, so the location was perfect. The room was of an average size (European standards) but small compared to other hotels I have stayed in the US. It was well appointed. I always look for a few things from a hotel room and that is Wifi, bed comfort and shower...

Charming hotel with a great location to the theaters. The service was phenomenal!!! The place is not stuffy and the staff is super friendly. The bedding is inviting and very comfortable. The restaurant was delicious and everything about this place screams hip and cool without trying too hard. The rooms are small but cozy and well appointed and the towels...

Dear Jamiekallen, You found a gem when you found The Alise Chicago. True to the history of the building (The Reliance Building) built in 1895. The building is one of a kind and the leading design to the modern day skyscraper. We are so please that it's now home to The Alise Chicago. The bedding is new and our guests...

Ideal location in downtown Chicago. Our room was small but immaculate and very attractive, with extravagant high beds with excellent mattress and comforters, and excellent water pressure even on the upper floors. All the hotel people we met were friendly and helpful. Excellent small fitness center; swift elevators. In the afternoon the hotel serves little cupcakes and coffee at no...

We have stayed at the Hotel Burnham in Chicago for many years. We were disappointed that Kimpton sold this and we were uncertain if we wanted to continue staying there. To our great surprise, the new Hotel Alise is incredible. Much of the staff remained at the new hotel, so there are many familiar faces, all of whom have the...

We have stayed at the Burnham several times in the past because we love the location and the awesome historic and lovely building. It has changed a bit since it became 'The Alise' owned by Staypineapple a few months ago, but overall we had a similar pleasant experience. The rooms are small, of course, but well designed. The decor is...
