The Palmer House has a great location to lots of attractions, eating places and transport. The main bar has a warm atmosphere and an exquisite ceiling. The concierge was fabulous and extremely helpful. Our room was very small but that was to be expected. The...More
We selected the Palmer House because it was a Hilton and just a block away from the CIBC Theatre where "Hamilton" was playing -- our reason for visiting Chicago. We had never stayed in the Loop before and found it to be extremely well-situated. It's...More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Palmer House! We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed experiencing the atmosphere of our historic hotel. We specialize in outstanding customer service and our goal is an all-around positive guest experience.
Great place to stay, especially if you are going to the theater and it’s super close to Millenium Park, too. The hotel is an older hotel with a very opulent lobby. We stayed on an execute floor, 23, same floor the lounge is in. We...More
The place is gorgeous as you can see from the many uploaded pictures. The staff is friendly and well trained. I was offered a drink coupon since my room wasn't ready. I thought that was very kind since it was a short wait. When my...More
Stayed 2 nights for work in May. Hilton Honors Diamond got me a room on one of the executive levels - and these rooms are what one might consider a “normal” size. Saw my colleague’s non-executive room and they are fairly tiny. I had a...More
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Corner rooms are generally larger than the corridor rooms. Also on the web check-in for the hotel, Hilton provides floor plans for rooms for each floor. It was fairly easy to see which of the rooms were larger looking at the floor plan. We were on a 16th floor corner room, room was fairly large and updated. It had a good balance between an 'old hotel, rich in history' feel with the modern convenience of much newer hotels.
