Before our trip we watched a review on You Tube and our stay pretty much mirrored the video except our view. Our view was of a brick wall and we were right next to the vents so we heard a loud hum all night. The room was very clean and service was spectacular. If we asked for more towels they were dropped off in minutes. Everyone was very accommodating. Cons: water splashed out of the shower on to the floor making puddle. Not many places to put clothes and only one hook in the bathroom to hang up a towel. Heat was not adjustable but the windows open and they did offer us a fan. Overall we were very happy with our stay and I would definitely recommend it.
While I was in the bar in the Cherry Circle Room, another patron commented that this was the most beautiful hotel he had ever seen. Restored to it's 1894 glory, this former private men's club for the .01% is now available for anyone who wishes to visit the lobby and become a Gilded Age millionaire. The rooms are quirky, but in a fun way. A lot of the rooms are converted athletic courts, which means you might end up with a crazy high ceiling or an odd shape. But there's a lot of humor in the interior design, with gym netting above the desk and pommels at the end of the bed. CAA is an exercise in wit & style. Wry & ironic, they take their service seriously, but never themselves. My one suggestion is that in the mornings or when the hotel is quieter you might turn down the techno pop dance music, when the game room is hopping, but nobody's dancing at 7AM in Chicago, in January. :-) I'm already planning my next visit. Thank you for your amazing hotel!…
This is quite simply one of the great hotels in one of the great cities in the US...We came back here just to stay at this hotel. The staff are exceptionally professional and caring. No detail is overlooked.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and so helpful to someone who it’s their first time in the city. The design of the lobby is breathtaking. The Game room a great spot to grab a bite and a nice cocktail. Room service options were plentiful and moderate in their pricing. I can’t wait to stay here agai
Beautiful and Unique property with excellent service! The check out and check in process was seamless (All done from my phone). This hotel is centrally located and near everything you'd want to experience downtown, however, the action is in your hotel so you'll more likely want to explore this space before heading out. I will definitely be back!
From the front desk, to our room, to the bars and restaurants- this place is amazing! We love coming here! Great location, amazing food and atmosphere, an overall great experience! We will definitely be back!
From the moment we walked in till the moment we headed to the airport, our stay with CAA was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond, the lobby and game room were huge parts of our stay. I could have camped out in the lobby by the fire all day.
I wouldn't spend nearly as much money as I did to stay here. The rooms get insanely hot in the winter, even though I had the heat down to 65. There's nothing to me that screams "4-star hotel" about this place. Sure, the bed and bathroom were clean and they gave you a bottle of Fiji, but that's kinda what I expect out of any place I stay. Not much to write home about.
The hotel is beautiful and my room was very clean/lovely with a comfortable bed. However – the heat in my room did not work and the staff was of no concern about it. In addition, I tried to order lunch and many of the (short) menu items were not available (salads etc.).
Good but not quite up to par. We requested a 1pm early check in which seemed a non issue by the staff - never happened upon arrival and our guarantee of 3pm check in was late as well. Not to mention one of our bags got lost and was finally tracked down…
