Our family rented the Lang House and the Emil Bach houses for my daughter's recent wedding. The houses were elegant and had everything we needed to make this weekend unforgettable. The staff, including Peggy, made sure all our needs were met and was there every step of the way to insure complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend a stay at one of both of these beautiful venues for your next event!

We went to Chicago to have a small wedding and to spend time with our family. My fiance and myself could not have found a more enjoyable place to stay. The host provided easy directions to the house as well as very in depth contactless entry to the property. If you're looking for city flare without all the hussel and bussel of downtown this is the location for you. Rogers Park is quaint and historic but still provides all of the amenities you would want from the city. As soon as we entered the property we commented on how clean the house was and smelled. The host provided all items needed for COVID safety measures in more than one location throughout the house. The home is quite large but has a very comfortable feel to it. We relaxed on the patio all day and by the a fire in the evenings. We had a few questions while we were there and the local property manager always answered our phones calls and stopped by as needed. The house is half a block from Jarvis Beach which is where we had our ceremony. It is was a perfect small location with no distractions such as runners or bikers so the ceremony was very private except for a few onlookers from the adjacent park. The host provides a guide to the area attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. We walked to local eateries for take out and all of the locals were extremely friendly. This home was extraordinary in architecture, we spent the first 40 minutes just exploring everything. If your planning a trip to the Chicago area and are planning for a large group or small (there were only two of us), I highly recommend Lang House. You will not be disappointed.

Several guests and I stayed in the Lang House for a couple days in May of 2019 and I hosted a catered party as well. The house is beautiful and well appointed; the common areas are elegant and the guest bedrooms are in excellent condition. The overall experience was made even more special by the gracious staff. Peggy Murphy was especially helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this property!

The Lang House will take your breath away! It is beautifully decorated, completed furnished with elegant style and quality from top to bottom. In addition, it is quiet and comfortable--a perfect place to escape to. The attention to detail makes the Lang House a stand out. The management was more than accommodating and took care of our every need. I travel frequently and have stayed in fabulous five-star hotels and vacation homes in many parts of the world. The Lang House competes with the best of the best! Note that this is an individual vacation home and not a hotel.

I rented Lang House for my daughter Christy and her Bridesmaids to spend the evening prior to her wedding, and for the group to get ready the following morning for her grand event. Needless to say Lang House was the perfect choice for this ocasión and a dream come true for her. The house is comfortable and absolutely gorgeous! All the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and beautifully decorated in a traditional yet sophiaticated manner. The house is very comfortable and elegant, and although quite large, it feels cozy and warm. We found many beautiful spots for photos inside and outside the house - not just for the group but also for the Bride! The service was also impeccable and the attention to detail by the host exceptional. Renting the full house for this special event was definitely the right choice for my beautiful daughter and an unforgettable ocassion for her and her Bridesmaids. I highly recommend Lang House to any couple, family or group of friends who are looking for that home away-from-home feel in a lovely and elegant Midwest historical home.

I rented out the entire Bed and Breakfast for my family and I hosted a 1920s-era murder mystery. The mansion was the perfect setting for it and everyone had an awesome experience. One of the innkeepers, Wayde, really was helpful booking the place as well as the event. The other, Bruce, was very accommodating with helping us check in and out and he really helped me put the finishing touches on the mystery party. The entire family had nothing but great things to say about the place and the hosts. We would definitely stay here again!

From the time I booked my room I was treated like a welcomed guest, and the property was truly the nicest bed and breakfast, in every respect, that I could imagine. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and the neighborhood felt very safe and was attractive. Being next door to the Emil Bach House, in a lovely historic gem, was such a treat!! It was truly a haven in the big city!

Lang House was a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, but its location provided easy access to all the tourist spots. The train was two short blocks away and had stops in both the museum and Michigan Avenue areas. We even took the "L" (train) from Midway airport to the B&B. Of course Uber worked very well also. The house was lovely, and Bruce and Wayde, our hosts, made us feel very welcome. We are already talking about a return visit to Chicago, and would definitely enjoy staying at Lang House again!
