I have stayed here a handful of times and have usually enjoyed it but have noticed recently it is starting to slip. The innkeeper Ron seems to have lost interest in being a good host and on the over-all upkeep. Breakfast has gotten sparse and wasnt even put out on my recent stay. The lower level rooms are in a... Thank you, cupctodd, for your review of the inn. I am curious as to when you were here and experienced no breakfast! I was away during part of June and wonder if you visited then. Please contact me at ron@thevillatoscana.com, if you'd like to share more information with me. Or, better yet, come visit again and give us another try! More

I stayed here 3 nights over a long weekend with my girlfriend. This was our first time to Chicago and our main attraction was a trip to wrigley field which is only a 5-7 minute walk. Its also just as close to a red line stop which was easy for getting to and from anywhere in the city. There are... More

That was indeed kind of neat, how you made your reservation from an airport runway! I am happy we had space for you, and I certainly hope you will visit again if you find yourself in the Chicago area. More

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Windy City. We choose The villa Toscana bed and breakfast as opposed to the large chain hotels that are all over the city. This was our first time in a bed and breakfast, and we were a little nervous about our decision. We could not have been happier with our choice afterwards.... More

I travel often and I am very picky of my accommodations. Most are corporate run locations that are usually clean and nice but always lack that personal touch. I usually want to go home within days of my stay. The Villa Toscana was that one location that made me feel at home. I actually looked forward and enjoyed coming back... More

The Villa Toscana is a perfect location to stay in the busy city of Chicago. It is tucked nicely in back of the property that gives the place a quaint Toscana feeling. The Inn Keeper, Ron was at our service before we even arrived. Ron made several phone calls as the date for our arrival neared. This was done so... More

What an absolute pleasure it was to host the two of you during your trip to Chicago! Thank you for your kind words about The Villa Toscana. I do hope you will come to visit again soon ... maybe during more pleasant weather, perhaps, than the middle of a Chicago winter! Thanks again for your review. More

This little charmer is situated right in the middle of Boys Town, which appears to be one of the few vibrant, self-contained gay neighborhoods left in the U.S. Despite being on busy Halsted Street, it's set back with some nice landscaping in the front. Manager Ron appears to be running a one-man show and though I didn't need him much... More

In town to see a ballgame at Wrigley Field so the Villa's location was the primary reason I chose it but I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The lifestyle theme of the surrounding neighborhood was not an issue so don't let that bother you if you are inclined to think so. I would... More

Perfect location, right in the middle of the bars and restaurants, just around the corner from CTA train station. Initially concerned about possible outside noise with its location, but incredibly peaceful .... an oasis ! Had the venetian room, in the lower level nice and compact with own bathroom.
