Logan Square is the Williamsburg (Brooklyn) of Chicago, without ugly new construction. Best of all are the restaurants and cafes, and among these, Longman and Eagle stands out. The food is fresh and delicious, is moderately priced and the place is relaxed and cool. Can't say enough good about it. Worth taking the L out to eat here! Also, the...

We had a great experience here. Three of us went to dinner there and we went before 5 to enjoy the happy hour. All of our cocktails were great- Cloud City, Whiskey Sour and Desert Sunset Margarita. Blood was very innovative and tasty. We ordered the cheese plate to start. And then we had 3 entrees and shared: the roasted...

The food was absolutely amazing. I had the pigs head and gnocchi. A bit too much food for one person, but I'm glad I got both. I had a great server. He was knowledgable and helped me choose great dishes, however I don't think you could go wrong with anything. My cocktail was okay, I've had better. They're known for...

I'll give you a hot tip. Go for brunch . . . which they serve every day of the week . . . with delectable dishes with salmon on gnocchi in a savory broth, garnished with a soft-boiled pickled egg. Sure it's a hipster joint, but its cool comes from being so homey. Better yet, its artisan fare is exceptional,...

Yes, its loud. And, we had a three hour wait for a table (go before 6). However the food and drink was great. And, the place has a good vibe. A couple of tips: you can wait at a really nice wine bar down the street. The fried chicken was interesting and our table's favorite.

Stayed in room #04 for two nights. Staff in the bar downstairs were helpful on check-in. The room itself was very tastefully decorated, with nice designery touches all around the room. The cassette mixtapes may have been a step too hipstery for me. As others have noted, the noise from the bar does reach the rooms. On the first night,...

Living just a couple hours by train away from Chicago, we travel there often, and this is one of our favorites, we've stayed here twice now! We enjoy staying in boutique hotels, and while this is certainly not a hotel, it is the sort of place we enjoy - unique, comfortable, priced right, stylish with our tastes in mind. Before...

I have stayed at L&E many times and it is always a pleasant escape. The Logan Square location, eclectic decor, excellent food and service are highlights. Not to mention the value for an in-town property. This inn defies categorization; it is certainly not a chain-hotel however a boutique hotel does not quite define it either. It feels more like staying...

This place is fantastic! Excellent service, broad range of drinks and long list of liquor choices, and the food is outstanding! We tried the bone marrow appetizer, the ricotta appetizer , and for entrees we tried the curried roasted cauliflower ( phenomenal) , the cobia fish, really balanced and light and the burguer, paired with great fries! Definitely recommend it!

The house salad with green goddess dressing yummy as was the burata cheese appetizer. Fried chicken delicious. Service exceptional. Dessert was an American eagle. Some decadent mix of chocolate and peanut butter and old style ice cream among other treasures on the plate. We arrived at 5 and didn't have to wait. Will return ASAP.
