I recently stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend and it was our first time visiting Chicago! We had no idea what to expect coming in to the city or even this hotel that I found online. I took a chance and booked with The River Hotel and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else! We did have trouble finding the...

This is a wonderful hotel, right on the river with great views, especially at night :-). But the best part is the hotel itself, and the staff. A beautiful old building, with great remodeled rooms -- modern and contemporary. Second floor has a large, comfortable lounge area with fresh ground coffee, fruit and snacks, newspapers, computers (PC & Mac) and...

My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend, our first trip to Chicago and loved it. The views were amazing, across from the Trump tower and a view of the river running through the city - awesome. We were delighted that the room rates were so reasonable as the hotel is very nice, our standard room was nice...

I recently stayed here overnight when in town to see a show. The check-in process was the quickest I have ever experienced, which made a great first impression. Then I got to my room (I had booked a superior room) and was thrilled to discover that I had an amazing view overlooking the Chicago River. Shortly after I got to...

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend of 2/20-2/22, got a great deal on Orbitz. The rooms are small, but what I pretty much expected that out of a "Club size" room in the city. we were on the river side facing the Trump tower. My only complaint is that the bed was uncomfortable--hard. It was a little...

We decided to book a corner suite at the River Hotel because we were traveling with a small child and required access to a kitchenette. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the doorman/valet and promptly told that to valet our car would be 53 USD, but that we could self-park 2 blocks away if we preferred for 23 USD. We...

Stayed here for the weekend and it was pleasant! Close to the bean and close to some bus stops. My room was super small compared to other rooms, but I am fine with that because I was only planning on sleeping and not hanging out there. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything was...

The bed and television was quite small and there was a small shower, no tub in our room. No hot tub or pool in the hotel,...
