Our room was large and pleasant, however it was noisy with our phone also ringing whenever next door got a call and poor sound insulation through an adjoining door, we didn't enjoy listening to their TV at 6.00 am! The weekends see the Club being taken over by large pre booked groups and the virtual cessation of normal facilities to... More

They apparently have several rooms for functions. We had a large cocktail party. Our group of 150 was handled well. Efficient service...good bar service, and adequate h'ordures. Overall a nice experience

When I am traveling for business this place is on my short list. Nicely appointed and recently refurbished rooms and great location make it a great choice. The super workout facilities put it ahead of many. I hate to miss my workout and am often underwhelmed by hotel gyms, but the sports facilities are a top priority here. My only... More

Real elegant club, traditional and old-fashioned style but with a modern twist. Nice and professional people. Beautiful lobby, expansive bar and great pool and work out facilities. Best place in Chicago for playing and learning squash.

We stayed in the Court Yard room and it was absolutely deplorable. I am even more shocked to read that these rooms have been renovated. We complained when we checked out a day early and our complaint was "noted". Our heat did not work, the water temperature in the shower was faulty, the sheets were stinky and old, and it... More

This gathering place of Chicago deal makers has comfortable beds, spacious rooms, a wonderful old school oak-walled library overlooking Millennium Park and the lakefront. Major theater venues are a few short blocks away, as wonderful restaurants and are all Chicago Loop CTA El stations. The service and food are excellent. This venue, which has a dress code, requires non members... More

We stayed here briefly for a wedding being held on-site. Having said that & being in Chicago a few months prior for a "real" trip, this was in a nice location. Lots of restaurants right there & park across the street. Rooms were nice -think of an old bldg that has been renovated but really the interior rooms not the... More

I absolutely love staying at the University club of Chicago. I love Chicago but finit hard time to leave the club because it is so relaxing and the food is delicious. All the staff is wonderful at the club- Front desk, Bell staff, waiters, housekeeping, and spa. I love the options of eating in the various dining rooms. The pool... More

I stayed at the U Club while in Chicago on business. It is a beautiful and well-maintained building in the Loop. They have full workout facilities, which I used, and a pool, which I didn't use. It is located across the street from Millennium Park and the Art Institute. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is just around the corner. I stayed... More
