Where to start?!? 1. Reception: fabulous. The 1st floor staff was excellent help with us finding the self parking (which was a close walk and cost was covered in our package). The actual reception desk: warm, welcoming and totally helpful In restaurant suggestions as we were hosting personnel from D.C., they were constantly asking if we needed anything extra for our rooms, etc. 2. The rooms. Flawlessly clean and SO spacious. I loved that I had a dining area and work area separated from the sleeping area. Bathroom and closet/storage space were great. 3. Location. Cannot be beat. Walking distance from great restaurants and a few blocks from big “Chicago Must do” places. 4. Bar/restaurant: best martini I’ve had in a good while and the dessert I ordered for my room to go - equally delectable. The lounge area was great for work meet ups and breakfast was outstanding. 5. Check out. A breeze. So easy and great for me to file with work for reimbursement. I came for work but will go back for pleasure. I can’t wait to bring my family. This WILL be our new Chicago place to stay. Even if the rooms had ended up not so good, I’d go back for the staff. Everyone was great! Bonus: I noticed they had an Elf On the Shelf that changed daily. Absolutely adorable they did that for the kids at Christmas!…
Great location close to public transportation and a short walk to millennium park, Union Station, shopping and the Riverwalk. Hotel was clean inside and out. Easy check in. Awesome full complimentary breakfast. Snack shop available for toiletries, drinks and snacks. Kitchen in room was a great size and provided cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans.
I had the the opportunity to stay at this hotel. He fro t desk is very friendly and helpful, they serve a hot breakfast buffet in the morning. My room was very spacious with a newly renovated bathroom. My bed wax very comfortable. Overall great stay, great staff , will be back.
This stay was okay. The room was dusty, aggravated my allergies bad… it was late and we’d been up and traveling since 2:00 a.m. and after 9 we were out of it. I requested a room change and the person at reception was NOT sympathetic by my suffering from allergies at all and simply stated they’d just clean it… fine! (Why did they put us in a dusty room to begin with?) Well, at least the person working the next window gave us a sympathetic smile. Let’s not forget we found a dirty towel… UGH THAT was the grossest… I went back down and the dude was beyond cold, like it was my fault we found a dirty towel… (I wish I got his name now, won’t be staying at any residence Inn and would tell anyone who’ll listen) We had to leave because we had a city tour arranged and didn’t want to be late for that… we had such a good time in the city that I didn’t want to face the cold guy again. The towels looked clean and they’d dusted. The next day or the day after I got reprimanded for bringing breakfast to MY room! I got this idea after seeing a few people doing this, nothing was said to them though… go figure… so we just didn’t eat breakfast in their previous dining room again! It was unpleasant really and regretted why I didn’t book the other option I had, I even called to see if they had rooms available… we ended up staying because it was a short stay. The room itself, other than being dusty… the shower needs caulking or something… for an upgrade the black ugly thing was really really weird to see… The whole hotel experience was the weirdest since I attempted to stay at motel 6 while I was traveling in college, I was 19 then, a long time ago and this reminded me of that.…
We really liked our experience here. I was here for the Chicago Marathon 2022 and it is very practical for runners. Location: very good and the race even went past the hotel. So very good for supporters. For runners it’s just a 1.1km jog to the starting line so very handy. Checkin: very easy and the counter was very helpful. Others: laundry facility is very good. Breakfast is alsi very good. Cons: wifi a bit spotty in the room. Being Asian, I wish there was a bidet in the toilets. It’s a more hygienic way to clean yourself. Pillows can be better even though the bed itself was very comfy.
This Marriott Residence Inn did not disappoint. Please note they don’t have valet or on site parking but other than that everything was great. My checking process was fast and smooth and we got a beautiful two bedroom suite on the 26th floor with all the amenities and space you could need. Everything was clean and every person we encounter it was nice.Loved it!!
The room was really nice. Clean . Spacious. The bed was comfortable. A BIG Shout out to “Ross May” Front Office Mgr. who was super nice and accommodating. Shout out to Nora in customer service for making things happen for me in a timely manner and a Big Shout Out to “TRACY” in Housekeeping who went out her way to make my OCD Crazy Ass comfortable. This Residence had the best breakfast hands down out of any Residence Inn. They served real “ Simply Orange” juice, bacon, sausage links (so good) waffles pre made(great ) delicious fresh fruit. OMG EGG WHITES which I love, every morning. Grits, gravy, delicious coffee. yogurt pastries everything was so good. A few blocks from millineum park and other attractions. I woul definitely stay here again!
Stayed here due to an attractive price point and familiar location to former Chicago residents. It is in the Loop so it may not be the most prime location for a first time tourist visitor but perfectly walkable to State Street and Millennium Park. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was more comfortable for three women with a sitting area. Free breakfast was convenient. Also convenient for accessing a private event at the Roanoke restaurant which has a wing with an indoor connection to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!
I stayed here for four nights on business. The property is centrally located downtown and about a 5 minute walk to the Chicago river, 2-3 minutes to the nearest train station, and steps away from nearby restaurants and convenience stores making its location ideal. Upon checking in I was recognized for my Platinum Elite status but no upgrade was given. The hotel provides shared access to Roanoke (restaurant next door) and this includes a full service bar which can be accessed from the 2nd floor where check in is. Something not typical for a residence inn which is nice for a late night cap! The reason for the average review is for a few things: -pre arrival requests were not honored. Had asked for additional pillows. It took over an hour when I requested them to arrive. The gentlemen who brought them was loosely holding them, presumably after his smoke break, as the pillows all wreaked of cigarettes -the provided environmentally friendly bodywash containers were pretty low and eventually ran out mid stay. I also ran out of the two shower towels provided in my room and they could only be reused so many times. When I requested new ones when I got back to my hotel at around 11 pm, they weren’t even delivered until midnight. When they were, I was annoyed to find out that they would not simply just provide the container of body wash to me to use. I had to grant access to the employee into our room at midnight to come essentially service our bathroom if i wanted bodywash. I felt that was very inconsiderate. -the AC doesn’t work very well. I believe it senses when there is no motion and automatically goes into a sleep mode making the room slightly warm and unpleasant. Overall, for a night or two, this location is good but based on the issues after check in, I’ll explore all of the area has to offer for future hotel stays.…
We stayed in a tower room which had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the beds were comfortable. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and on the second floor is the receptionist, a bar, as well as a breakfast room with lots of seating and TVs. The breakfast buffet was great, with lots of options daily. The hotel location was in the center of the Loop, and transportation via the L Trains from the Midway Airport made it very easy to get to the hotel and was close to train and bus stations from the hotel. The hotel was only blocks away from the Willis Tower, the Riverwalk, and Millennium Park. There were plenty of restaurants in the nearby areas, and the adjacent restaurant to the hotel was very nice and the food was delicious.…
