We found the Renaissance Blackstone to be clean, comfortable and well located. Beautiful boutique hotel. The staff is incredible!! Friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We wanted to play Hand and Foot- a canasta like card game with another couple. We needed a large table for the game. The restaurant manager went WAY out of his way to find a great...

Love this hotel. Lots of character and history, but yet rooms are updated modern and clean. The best of both worlds. I was greeted by James who took care of my bags and got them to my room very fast and very helpful and friendly. James really made me feel welcome.

The people were quite friendly. Ethan at the front desk worked extra to get a room available. Renovations are going on, but it didn't affect our stay. Room was very nice with great views of the city. The hotel has some classic architecture.

Full disclosure - I am a Marriott premium member: When I visited in January, the Renaissance Blackstone was undergoing some renovations. There was no restaurant in the hotel at the time but there is a lounge where you can get food as well. The staff at the hotel was amazing. From check-in to check-out every staff person was attentive to...

Thank you so much, Harry E, for such a great review and for providing such details. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay. We are under renovation but are working hard to minimize the affect. Mercat a la Planxa, the restaurant, opens next week! We hope that you will return and try the main restaurant - it is amazing!...

The hotel was sickening and that is a good thing!! The lobby was beautiful and breath taking. Moreover, James the doorman was very helpful when it came to helping me with my various designer bags: gucci, versace, lou vutton, etc. Anyways, the hotel is great, the staff is great, and James was a lot of help (his whisting surprised me...

We arrived at the hotel @ 10:30 from a flight. We asked if we could check-in early but no rooms were available. We purchased the club level room and so we asked if we could wait in the club until our room was ready. The staff informed us the club is closed on the weekends. (1) it was a Friday...

Overall - I believe the hotel has been acquired and is undergoing extensive renovations as in February there is not a sit down restaurant on site. That being said the hotel was old school beautiful right on Michigan Ave. I highly recommend staying there for business, couples or the family and as a bonus one of the greatest exercise rooms...

Thank you, Eaglesfan1968, for taking the time to write a review! We appreciate your feedback. The main dining room of the restaurant, Mercat a la Planxa, is opening next week! WE do have a smaller, lower lounge, so not sure if you missed it or we forgot to tell you. Either way, come back and visit us again! Thank you...

It is my favorite for its location to be sure, but also for its classic features, like a lobby where I actually look forward to sitting, drinking coffee and reading the paper, wonderful décor. Moreover, it is the staff. Tonight, I had an odd request--a spoon for some ice cream I bought--and Tekita Bryant handled it with a smile and...

First of all I'd like to point out that the entry to the hotel is on Balbo Avenue, which is around the corner from S. Michigan Ave. The Balbo entrance is stairs, so if you have luggage on wheels look for a small door on Balbo Ave to the right of the stairs that gets you to an elevator up...
