Cant understand how people can complain about such a great budget hotel. The room rates simply cannot be beaten. Friendly and helpful staff in a great location and Chicago is such a fantastic city! We also had a lovely view of soldier field and lake...More
We stayed here for 3 nights. Chose the place because of its location to Soldier Field (Chicago Quarter Marathon). Nothing to rave about but descent for price.
1) Good for price if want walking distance to Soldier Field, Millenium Park, Aquarium, Field Museum
Good quality for a reasonable price. In walking distance of the city centre. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Bit oldfashioned rooms, but clean and good bedding.
Only problem was the noise at night. The sound of the nearby metro-railway, the airconditioning of the Hilton and...More

I wanted to stay closer to downtown, but The Essex had a significantly better price. We still had a great time at this location. There's a great Chicago-style pizza restaurant two blocks away. We took a cab downtown and rode the subway - both were...More
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
