This hotel was great for our 3 generation family trip. We had two double beds, lakefront, with 2 bathrooms. The room was clean and the 2 bathrooms came in very handy. Housekeeping was super to get our room cleaned early in the day. The staff in the entire hotel was very friendly and eager to help us any way we... More

We stayed here for 5 days in June 2015, in an executive suite. The room was large, comfortable and the views were stunning. This renovated olde-worlde hotel has all the comforts of a modern hotel combined with the charm and elegance of the past. If you like big, bustling hotels, then it is highly recommended.

Reservation agent was dishonest or misinformed about the hot breakfast as he said it would be included but when we checked in, we were told it was not. The beds in the regular guest rooms are cheap and the bathtub was concave and very uncomfortable. We had a mix of bad service on our first night to excellent service after.

This big hotel is in a great location, easily accessible to parks, museums, shops and restaurants. The rooms and bathrooms are large, the fitness centre is excellent. Breakfast great but pricey, try nearby Yolk instead

The location of this hotel is pretty good, its on Michigan Avenue and close to the Bean (about 10 minute walking). Overall the hotel is huge with tons of rooms on each floor. We spent three nights in this gorgeous hotel. We stayed on the executive floor, and had a marvelous view of Michigan Ave and the harbor. Loved the Pub, the views and the rooms were spotless. Although the building is old, the renovations make it feel like a new hotel. We enjoyed just walking around the hotel and noting all the... More

Its all about being an Honors member is this old down town hotel. For the price paid, any 4* or 5* hotel provides for complimentary wifi and a bottle of water, but you cannot expect that in this "5* hotel". We arrive on Saturday June 13 at noon and had requested an early check in. Unfortunately our room was not ready and we received a text at 3:45PM that it was ready for check in. Quick check in, greeter in the beautiful lobby and lunch suggestions from the fitness center attendant. You feel the history, from the U.S. Mail drops on the 17th floor to the oversize elevator lounge area. They don't make buildings like this anymore. Room is sparkling clean and crisp sheets. Just what you want.
