The hotel was nice, clean, and had a lot of history which I enjoyed. I was staying for a conference and it was nice to have everything in one place, but too pricey for me to stay on my own. The location was excellent, on South Michigan close to everything but a little ways from the super busy areas of...

I was very impressed by their ability to host the conference I attended. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I did have issues with the WIFI connectivity in my room. The hotel connected me with their IT staff and I was able to solve the issue with my macbook, but not with my iPhone. Luckily I still had good...

Great location for meeting I had. However, experienced issues with air conditioner and internet. Would love to be able to rate room service, however both times I tried to order using their online ordering service, wouldn't work. Comfortable rooms although bathrooms were on the small side.

Old hotel and it shows, you just buy a hotel for what they charge in parking no matter what level of HH you are, the complementary internet does not work and the charge for a day ridiculous, the staff are very arrogant, the rooms are very dated, clean, but mine had broken furniture in it, extremely over priced in everyway...

The hotel was nice and the location is very convenient. The hotel has a very grand look but it is slightly outdated. I was there for a work conference and breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and spacious.

This is a beautiful old-fashioned hotel with a lot of history but really updated nicely with any and all accommodations you might need or want. There are some lovely restaurants and facilities for meetings and the lobby and hallways are luxurious!

The location to all of the museums was excellent as well as Grant Park. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. The hotel is historical but well kept up. The only negative for us was the rooms with two beds - double, not queen.

I am originally from Chicago and have stayed at this hotel many times. It is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. The hotel is always clean, the restaurants are nice and the location is perfect. Very large and rather impersonal hotel; poor executive lounge. Rather dark despite facing the lake, and unwelcoming. Very good gym and pool thoughwith welcoming, helful staff. And room quite comfortable and quiet. Internet intermittent.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Classic meets cool as Hilton Chicago embarks upon a $150 million renovation in celebration of our 85th birthday. The fresh, new vibe inspired by traditional, design rich elements pulls its inspiration from the hotel’s original architecture and intertwines a dynamic and contemporary spin. With the renovation underway, the hotel has already introduced over 400 new guest rooms, 13 new hospitality suites, a new technologically versatile Grab & Go – SNAX and a new restaurant with private dining space and bar – 720 South Bar & Grill. The new contemporary guestrooms have been cultivated with ornamental lacquer finishes, soft leather and rich, bronze wood detailing accented by a cool color palette of velvet and silk textured accents. Guestroom media capabilities include a 37 inch flat screen television, in room touch concierge panel, HCN Navigator computer and wireless and wired internet access. Following a day exploring Chicago, decompress at the largest Chicago hotel athletic club with running track, take a dip in our indoor pool facility or catch some rays on our sundeck during the spring and summer months.Located on Michigan Avenue in the South Loop, the Hilton Chicago is 1.6 miles to McCormick Place, along the Shuttle Route to McCormick Place and the first stop on the returning route from the convention center. Directly across the street from Grant Park and walking distance to Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Lake Michigan, Buddy Guy’s Legends, South Loop dining and art galleries, Museum of Contemporary Photography, The “Loop” – Chicago’s Financial district, State Street Shopping, Soldier Field as well as two short “L” stops to Chinatown. ... more   less
