Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.

Stayed at the Ambassador and wasn’t disappointed. Room was great and well designed and styled. One Booth (Bar/restaurant) at the hotel is off the hook. Great food and great cocktails (coming back for the Burt Reynolds).

This hotel from the outside looks okay, the lobby is nice with the restaurant at the back but the room we had was absolutely terrible. It actually reminded me of a cheap motel room. I was very shocked that the room looked like that. It was a last minute stay before a hockey game
