Stayed at the Drake for one night prior to New Year's Eve. The location to Magnificent Mile shopping and Rush street restaurants can't be beat! Rooms are nice, but the age of this place makes for smaller accommodations, especially bathrooms. Despite this, the property was extremely clean. There were long lines at the check-in desk, but that was most likely...

I love staying in the old classic hotels. Whether it is the St. Anthony in San Antonio, or the Drake Hotel in Chicago, you just have to appreciate the craftsmanship. This was my first stay in The Drake Hotel, and it was a nice stay. Our room was warm and comfortable. It had a nice flat screen TV that worked...

yes, i knew it was an old hotel. but i didn't expect it to be that dirty and disgusting. dirt on the floor. strange smell in the bathroom. water not even really warm. wallpaper peeling off. mold behind it. it should be closed down until it's completely renovated!!

Me time at its best. I needed time away to do some thinking. This trip was at its peak as I knew I would return with the elegance of a room that made me realize I am special. I will come back and hope to bring my daughter.

We spent 2 nights in the Drake over Christmas and was beautifully decorated. This hotel is iconic and kept up well for its age. The doorman was very helpful. Our room was large and wonderful. We really enjoyed the holiday tea.

We stayed as a family over the Christmas holiday and enjoyed the hotel very much. We had access to the executive lounge which was stocked with free appetizers (and paid for drinks). The hotel was decorated very nicely for the holiday and felt warm and inviting including music in the bar/lobby area. The room we had was very spacious and...

You can feel the history while entering the hotel. I have stayed here over 30 times in the past years and this is my favorite hotel in Chicago. Well, the room furniture is not the newest standard but it fits perfect to the historic building and I like it very much. Breakfast is great after a run along the lake...

First of all, even if you are not staying there, it is an amazing building to visit particularly around Christmas. Everything from the tree, lobby decorations, model railway, to even the beautiful boutiques in the building, absolutely gets you in a holiday mood. In addition, the lake views and great breakfast buffet is a perfect start to the day. Now,...

I remember visiting The Drake as a child and simply being in awe of the grandiose decor. Think of the movie Annie, when she arrived at Daddy Warbucks home/palace for the first time. That was me way back when. Now, it appears a bit worn and tattered. In need of some love. The character is still absolutely there, but the...

Love the Drake. Always a beautiful experience. The staff are so very pleasant and accommodating. We always go to the Drake every time we visit Chicago. We feel that the Drake, is our home away from home.
