I was excited when I first booked this hotel on Priceline because I love staying in downtown historic properties. However, upon arrival yesterday (Monday) and standing in line to check in, my fears were initiated for what was about to come. The front desk agent was on the phone with someone who had obviously already checked in. He was telling...

Good day dsandy, Thank you for your review. You are correct that some of our rooms are small. Your booking through Priceline will always guarantee you one of our petite classics (the smallest of our various room offerings). With that said, I am sorry that one of out team members came across as snarky. I will talk to my team...

Chicago was fairly booked so I booked this room. The location is good, thats it. You need to stand on the bed to change your clothes. The bathroom is even more interesting. I am not sure the term for this size bathroom but if you stayed here with a guest one of you would need to leave the room if...

This hotel has a fantastic location, steps from the Maginificent Mile. Hotel and rooms are well-kept and taken care of. However, I would recommend getting a room with two beds. We booked 1 Queen and the room was uncomfortably small for 2 people. We felt like we were on top of each other. Also go for a high floor as...

I stayed at The Allerton in April and November of 2014, and again in February 2015. The location, history of the building, and price originally drew me. During both stays in 2014, while I wasn't blown away, I was satisfied. Rooms, while small (especially the petite), were comfortable and very clean. In February 2015, however, it seems that there couldn't...

The hotel is super conveniently located on the Mag Mile - making it easy to get to shopping and the museum/aquarium/planetarium. I think the hotel has a lot of character, but I don't understand why the lobby is on the second floor when really there's plenty of space on the first floor for the lobby. It also sucked that there...

Dear Peachgirl6, I apologize for your experience, it is very common for hotel lobbies in Chicago to be off of the ground floor. Keep in mind that this is not a new build hotel, but rather a 90 year old historic landmark. Over the years the lobby has changed from the second floor, to the third floor and back to...

My trip was very last minute and I get a great price at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I had questions. We got a room there that was pretty inexpensive for the night. King bed, and separate TV area with a pull out couch. The hotel itself is very attractive, and even though the halls are a bit cramped, the rooms, lobby, and appointments are all very modern and clean. Only gripe is the pull out bed, which had no sheets...
