Water pressure ranged from weak to unusable. Very sweet check-in staffer gave us free wifi but the signal failed regularly. Small room was ok, bed comfy, but our room was near the elevator and you could hear the elev arrival "pings" and the chatting of patrons. Fortunately it was quiet enought between midnight and 7a.m. One annoyance is that there...

Frontage on or near the Magnificant mile has got to be expensive which is probably why the reception area for the Allerton is on the second floor. Staff was very friendly. When asked about complementary wi-fi, they gave it to us (so ask -- can't hurt). Had heard rooms were small, but our's, 615, wasn't. Partial handicap room (although bathtub...

The hotel location is superb! Very convenient location right on magnificent mile. Walkable to Navy Pier, hop on hop off stops, shopping, fantastic restaurants, etc. The hotel itself is really showing its age. Duct tape instead of a saddle between bathroom and bedroom. TINY rooms!! No shower water pressure. Lots of wear and tear. Linens were threadbare. Elevators were very...

We chose this hotel mainly for location and were not disappointed. Aside from the airport, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel itself was fine. Some of the other reviews mentioned small rooms. Ours was a very reasonable size -- though we are used to European hotel rooms, so we may have lower expectations than some people....

I was staying here for two nights, visiting for business, and found that it is a great location for those visiting for the first time and others that know the city well. Located right in the Magnificent Mile shopping district, this hotel is wonderfully located. The building is a classic, my 15th floor double room was compact, but comfortable, well laid out and reasonably quiet. The staff was courteous and helpful. More retail and restaurants than you can count in the immediate area.

I stayed at this property for two nights while in Chicago on business. The location of the hotel is terrific, but I found the hotel itself a bit tired. Russell provided the best customer service and made our stay. The rooms are simple and the hotel is in a great location. The bathroom could have been a bit larger, but that could be due to the room's odd shape. Definitely give this hotel a chance.
