Charming hosts (absolutely best in the world), fabulously decorated rooms (went around trying to steel ideas, and got lots of those), brilliant breakfasts, great tips for day trips --- can not think of anything to be done better. Thank you loads! And Chouchou the pig stole our hearts too.

We stayed at La Chartreuse only one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Owners Jean Louis and Marie purchased the historic building ten years ago and have totally refurbished the rooms--the public rooms are grand and filled with lovely art--much of it produced by Marie. The building was built many years ago--"refurbished" in 1834 and then left empty for...

This Gites took some finding as our Hire Car Sat Nav was not helped by the discrete entrance sign and we doubted our choice. How wrong we were - lovely hosts, lovely rooms benefitting from the personal touch and individual designer style accompanied by a charming and clean swimmimg pool in a beautiful garden with glorious countryside views. Expect to...

Just spent our last night in France at this beautiful old home. The rooms & bathrooms were lovingly restored, the host and hostess couldn't have been more helpful and charming and Marie's baking was so delicious. My parents, my friend and I highly recommend La Chartreuse.

We stayed at La Chartreuse for just 2 nights on our way to Lyon but wish we could have stayed for much longer. This bed and breakfast is an absolute delight. Jean-Louis and Marie are perfect hosts who made us feel very much at home in their beautiful manoir. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast in...

There are so many places that you book from a website, or photos, where you arrive and are thoroughly disappointed. However, La Chartreuse is entirely the opposite, and whatever beautiful images you have seen cannot prepare you for the wonderful welcome that you receive in this beautiful oasis of calm. When we arrived we had already been given a warm...

Stayed one night, touring this beautiful part of France. Our hosts Jean-Louie and Marie were so kind and welcoming. Nothing was to ouch trouble. The decor and the furniture is so beautiful. Our bedroom was 5* and so was our personal adjoining bathroom. Luckily for us that night Jean-Louise and Marie were hosts to evening of classical guitar and poetry....

Everything here is just perfect, from the genuine warm welcome and beautiful, comfortable rooms & ensuite bathrooms to the amazing breakfast feast and inviting pool set amidst peaceful gardens. There are too many special little touches to mention. We stayed just one night, but would gladly come back for longer. Perfect for couples wanting time to themselves.

If you are thinking of booking this typically French guesthouse then just do it! It is the little touches that will make your stay truly memorable, Marie's homemade biscuits and cakes, fresh cut roses from the garden in the room and a breakfast fit for a king. We took our 5 month old baby and nothing was too much trouble....

We found this wonderful hotel on TripAdvisor. To us, the pictures were flawless. We were in love with the hotel before we even arrived. The hotel is in a very quiet area on a very quiet street. About 50 minutes from the city center of Toulouse. When driving to or from the hotel, watch out for animals, as they run...
