We rang in advance ordering afternoon tea. The castle is miles from anywhere- Carrick-on-Shannon might be the nearest decent sized town. at the door we were greeted by a team of staff, in top hats! What service! I that it was only in Downton Abbey that this level of service existed. we were ushered in, and directed to the bar...

We stayed there for a wedding in August. Overall I wouldn't say the room offered value for money. The room was extremely warm and it was impossible to open a window. The bathroom was nice , the tea and coffee making facilities adequate , the TV basic. The redeeming features were a spectacular view from the room , a pleasant walk around...

This is a fantastic and beautiful place to relax and enjoy. As a frequent traveler around the globe i must say this is a top class hotel, excellently restored and a brilliant place for a peaceful and quite retreat. Kilronan Castle Hotel & Spa appears to be a genuine castle, but upon closer inspection, you'll see that a fairly new GIANT hotel has been erected onto what must have been a shell, facade, or a ruin of a former castle. The sympathetic architeture allows it to blend in nicely. Some of the rooms look old, especially at check in....

Just had a brilliant stay at Kilronan. Everything was great. Nice atmosphere and staff are friendly and do care. I was here with my brother to relax and would have liked a room with two double beds but we still had a very nice room.

As a treat to start our honeymoon before heading to Italy my wife and I decided to head to Kilronan Castle and this turned out to be a great decision. The castle, the grounds, the service and the food was all second to none. It couldn't have started any better as we were upgraded to a suite. That was a...
