Wonderful place! Felt welcomed as soon as we checked in, girls at the outpost were very sweet and helpful with an questions we had. We also got to bring our 2 K9’s which had a ball too! Thank you! Highly recommend!
Great place to relax, reflect, and enjoy nature. There is so much to see! Owners are great people who make you feel welcome and want to visit again! The Outpost has many unique items and great ice cream!

On the day that we drove through the Amish areas (on just the other [Kentucky] side of the car ferry across the Ohio river), it was a Wednesday. We did not see any Amish items for sale. I don't now if there are certain days when sale is more likely. (I know nothing would be sold on a Sunday). Since I knew that Outpost Timber Ridge & Cabins was pretty far from anything (and it really is), we packed a cooler, stopped at Fairfield, IL on our way south, and put our fresh milk, eggs, meat, etc. from there into the cooler to hold until we arrived. Worked out well.
