I have stayed here twice now and both times have been great stays. The parking can be a bit of an issue your first time around but the hotel, front desk staff and the rooms have been great. Keep in mind this is an old building and it is really neat how it's been modernized while still keeping to the...

I was familiar with this property having grown up in Evanston, and wanted to try it on a recent trip back. Excellent choice as long as you understand there is "charm" - everything is not modern and perfect. But the period furnishings, and breakfast creations of the pastry chef more than make up for it. After oversleeping Saturday morning I...

My family stayed here for a football game in northern Chicago. I discovered it when all of the more recognizable names were booked for the Labor Day weekend. I had two teenagers and two 22 year olds for my room and then my parents needed a room too. Not only did our room have plenty of room, everyone was incredibly...

Wonderful, cozy, friendly old world-feel inn. The staff is warm and helpful, the rooms were spotless, the relaxing atmosphere a welcome respite. Breakfast was delicious and a great place to visit and meet new people. The roof top terrace has an amazing view of downtown Chicago. We will come back.

This is a truly hidden gem. The interior of the hotel dates back to an era of unbelievable classiness. The staff in the hotel are casually chatty and pleasant. The rooms also have some modern amenities like TVs. You won't believe this, but the reservation was for a room with one large bed and two bunk beds. Instead, they upgraded...

Stayed one night on a road trip. Beautiful property from a bygone era. Updated modern rooms with all of the conveniences but charm of the 20's. The elevator will rocket you to your floor with no wait. Linens and amenities are super nice. All staff I interacted with was very nice. I wanted to steal the beautiful tapestry bed spread...

I reserved a room for the evening of June 27, 2016 based upon online advertising by this hotel. It looked very nice, a traditional European feel, but clean and updated. Upon arrival I was greeted by a musty smell in the lobby, which was quite old and run down in appearance. I asked to see my room and was taken...

Very cute boutique hotel which was still quite close to downtown Chicago. Me and my family are on a cross the USA roadtrip and stumbled across this place by surprise. Elevator is very small and old, but it still did the job for me and my family. Next time we visit Chicago, we would definitely try to stay here again....

We came to chicago to watch the cubs play baseball. Chose this hotel as part of choice hotels and had no clue the excitement we would experience at this hotel. I have to say this historic hotel is by far one of the greatest of have stayed in. Antique furniture, woodwork, and the history is astonishing. The French pastry chef,...

This was a wonderful establishment that has an intersting history to it. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom was modern with complementary q-tips and cotton balls. It even had bathrobes! But that was just the start. The breakfast consisted of wonderful pastries made by their French chef daily (and personally I ate way more than I should have). The...
