We spent the weekend after Thanksgiving. The place is charming, and well maintained for its age. We really enjoyed staying there, bed was great and room was a nice surprise. The food was outstanding. The employees went out of their way to make our stay excellent. I would recommend this hotel and especially the food 100%. Thanks for letting us...

I booked this hotel when we decided to attend my college reunion at Northwestern. Charming facade on a quiet street still didn't prepare me for the experience opening the door- our "room" was in fact a small, lovely one bedroom apartment. A fully furnished kitchen and dining area- I almost regretted most of our meals were taken care of at...

room is very clean and hotel quaint, 10min or less walk to Northwestern, very convenient to restaurants & shops although most places close at 10pm. Very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast buffet boasts excellent bread - favorites include the cranberry and apple streusel which taste like homemade. just a small point - the hotel is a newly renovated older building...

We came to visit the Northwestern campus, where our son is considering going to college. The neighborhood is great with easy access to downtown Evanston and all of its eateries. It's about 0.8 miles from the Northwestern campus, making for a pleasant walk along the lake. The lounge and restaurant have a tired, worn feel and smell, which persists in...

As my wife would say. This has always been a hotel, and it is a pure classic. We ending up upgrading to the queen room which had a kitchenette and small dining area. I kept saying I wish we were there for about four nights instead of one. It was so comfortable and clean. The wonderful man at the front...

Classic hotel, located on a old tree lined street in a very nice neighborhood within 1-2 blocks of great dinning options. Rooms are old fashioned with a touch of modern day comfort such as flat screen TV's. I stayed in a queen room, bed was very comfortable. Size of room was moe than adequate. Only slight down side was a...

We had a kitchen with a stove, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, silverware, glasses, apt size fridge, sink, coffee maker, even...

My husband & I spent 2 nights in July at the Homestead, while visiting family in Chicago. We ended up only spending enough time there to sleep & have breakfast, but there is a lovely verandah where you could spend all day watching the world go by. The inn is in the heart of the Northwestern University neighborhood, and is...

Don't expect glitz or fancy surrounding. The place oozes classic charm. The rooms are all different but comfortable. The staff is fantastic. Parking can be a problem, but there is a free ramp close by. We plan on returning next summer for an extended visit. Sunday brunch is to die for.

We reserved a block of rooms at The Homestead for our daughter's wedding in Evanston on Sept.2nd. We needed something convenient due to the lack of parking on campus and our decision was a good one! The staff couldn't be friendlier! We stayed in a suite, so we had a larger room, but the feedback was that the regular rooms...
