We went primarily for the luge slide however we were blown away at the gorgeous views of the Mississippi River and mountains. Would love to come in the winter for skiing. The slide was fun, nothing crazy or a huge attraction for adults, however kids would really enjoy it. The ski lift provides top notch views of the picturesque scenery!

I really wasn't sure what to expect before we stayed here. I have to say that our stay was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was very nice. The staff was really really friendly and eager to please. The food and service in the restaurant was also first rate. I would definitely go back.

My Wife and stayed here during our Anniversary weekend. August 5-7-2016. We had intended to go to Cancun, but a hurricane put an end to that so at the last minute we decided to head to Galena since we had heard many nice things, but had never been there. Every B&B was completely booked so my wife suggested Chestnut Mountain... More

We had a great time for our four day stay. The front desk, the rooms, the hotel staff and most of the food staff were fantastic. Did not know what to expect but we really had a wonderful time and people at the resort were very pleasant and helpful. We only had one bad dining experience but that did not... More

My family of 5 did the zip line, roller coaster mountain and the ski lift. It was a super hot day but no one seemed to mind bc of all the fun they were having. My favorite was the ski lift I'm not an adventurist like the rest of the family so I rode the ski lift up and back... More

Stayed one night in one of the bedroom suites. The suite is very roomy, a little dated but for only one night it was great. We stayed on the river side, view was wonderful, but the windows were really quite gross. Everyone was nice and they have lots of activities. We did the soaring eagle zip line, it was great!... We stayed here last weekend for 1 night. Our room was very outdated with mauve carpeting and floral curtains and the bathroom was way outdated also. It was clean. Just for $139.00 a night, I think it should have been updated! We even had a "fat TV" as my Godchild called it. There was a lot to do though. We... More

I should start by saying that I have NOT stayed in the hotel, but I have visited the Resort during both the Winter and Summer, and had a great time with family and friends. In the Winter, you'll find (in my opinion) the best skiing in the Midwest. The runs are fun, the crowds aren't too bad, there are plenty... More

We stayed recently and the resort was amazing. Great views, amazing food, and good service. There is no phone reception so its nice to disconnect and relax. There is not much in the area, it is about a 15-20 minute drive to food, gas station, liquor store, etc. The bugs were definitely outrageous and everywhere. It was nice being in... More

Let me start by saying that I would consider staying there again. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. The room had 2 sinks (one inside the bathroom and one just outside), which was a big help. Microwave and fridge in the room. Small table with 2 chairs. Good space for a hotel room.... More
