Over the past 24 years my wife and I have been to many B&B's in the Midwest and we believe that Abbeys High Street B&B ranks right up there with the best. This was our fourth stay at Abbey's and won't be our last. Abbey's is furnished/decorated to perfection. The location of Abbey's is in the center of town, great...

We enjoyed our two day stay at Abbey's. Tom was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully served in a lovely Victorian style. The home and English gardens were stylist and a great place to relax and enjoy a bottle of our favorite wine. Thanks to Kathy for your decorating and Tom for you hospitality to make...

The house was a very nice place to stay. It has been restored to to the correct period. We had a really nice visit with Tom, the owner. He told us a lot about the history of the house and how he rebuilt it so he could turn it into a Bed and Breakfast Inn. The breakfast was really delicious!.

My fiancee and I went to Galena and stayed here to elope. It was an awesome experience. The innkeepers are great. The rooms were great, very clean and definately brings one back to historical times. The breakfast was great Everytime. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. We got married there this past weekend and were able to use the...

I've stayed at this B&B 5 times for a reason-- everything here is fabulous. I've been in 4 of the rooms and they were all lovely. The breakfasts have always been delicious. The grounds are perfect, and we've had several fires in the fire pit on cooler evenings, which owner Tom had all set up for us. He and his...

My husband made a reservation for our 45th anniversary weekend at Abbey's based on the wonderful reviews. In the interest of getting to the point, we found the first night very unsatisfactory. The bed groaned every time one of us moved. It was a cold night and every time the heat came on it roared and blew directly in my...

Two friends and I spent last weekend in Galena. We stayed in the carriage house at this wonderful inn. It was quiet and the room was delightful only missing having a coffee maker so I could have my caffeine a little earlier than 8am. The gardens were lovely. Pictures don't do it justice. You can view the city from the...

We came into town on short notice and looked for a B&B at the last minute. We called Abbey's and Tom was very kind, gracious and accommodating even on such short notice. We arrived about a half hour after we called and he had the room and welcome all ready to go. He was very friendly and warm the entire...

Tom was very accommodating at the last minute. Our original plan did not work out and he came to the rescue. Great service, hospitality, food and experience. The home is in a great location for views of the town and accessibility to downtown without having to drive. Have entertained the thought of having my own B&B in Galena and this is exactly...
