All level surfers are welcome, from zero experience to advance surfers, we hope to provide 2 surf lessons a day depending on the weather condition. Such a great place to surf and explore Lombok. Stayed for almost two weeks and improved my surfing so much. The team makes you feel part of the Kura Kura family right away. Hope to be back soon for some new adventure aka summer holiday trips.

Literally booked last minute and glad I did. Met a great bunch of people. Comfortable private bungalow with outdoor shower, great 2x daily surf sessions where the team takes you to different spots - beach and reef breaks often hunting the less busy ones which was amazing. I was looking for a trip to not think about where to surf and have enough time in the water and the surf camp definitely provided that. I wasn’t a beginner and it was awesome to be challenged and the rusty paddling skills definitely improved. Great friendly team at Kura Kura and definitely missing those daily banana pancakes!

Woaw, it has been nearly two years, I am traveling the world chasing the best surfcamps to improve my surfing as much as possible in the best surfspots and atmosphere. I think I found that place. From the booking to the teaching, accomodation, vibe, everything was so nice. The best surfcamp manager I ever met Matt and his lovely team are always listening to your needs and try to make all the compromises possible to suit everybody. My surfing take a totally different journey, even if my board is apparently too short for me 😉 Almost everyday, after surfing we analysed the pictures of the day to correct the mistakes and set up some goals. Then Matt was always taking us to some secret places to watch sunset, to experience Lombok's life or to nice restaurants. Days went so fast and so good that I broke my bank account to extend one more week... Accommodation are lovely and the staff so so so nice. Big ++ to take us to some empty line up spots, to the greedy banana pancakes, the outside shower so clean and perfect when sun is rising, all the facilities and most of all, THE TEAM. Also, big thank to Ady who made me face my fears, pushed my limits to take some of the best waves of my life. I definitely recommend and want to come back ❤️

We stayed for two weeks in the Surfcamp (extended after one because the first week was so good :-)). As we have surfed before for some time we joined the „level 2“ group. We had 1 long or two short sessions everyday at different spots. The staff always tried to find the best spot everyday to get the best conditions possible (compared to other surfcamps which always take you to the same spot no matter how the conditions are). The surfguides and management are super nice people and we really enjoined staying with them! We were definitely able to improve our surfing during the stay and were 100% satisfied with Kura Kura! For anyone searching for a quality Surfcamp in Kuta Lombok this is the way to go.

I travelled solo and stayed at Kura Kura for 4 weeks in November/December and here is a summary of my experience at the camp: ACCOMODATION: The private rooms are really spacious and you have your own bathroom which is great. The AC is also a huge plus since it can get very humid and warm in Lombok. There is a swimming pool and a hangout area where you can chill and spend time with the other people staying at the camp. For breakfast you have different options which is nice if you want to mix it up from day to day. The staff is very friendly and they can help you out with most things such as scooter rental, laundry, transportation etc. SURFING: The times and spots where/when we went surfing varied from day to day depending on the conditions. Usually we left in the morning, had two sessions of surfing with lunch inbetween, and returned to the camp in the afternoon. We went to a lot of different spots which was fun because you got to see a lot of Lombok and try different waves. The local surf instructors at the camp are really experienced and they will look after you when you are out surfing to make sure that you feel safe. It’s definitely possible to progress quite a lot during your time at the camp since you usually surf for two sessions every day. I started out almost as a complete beginner and by the end of my stay I had progressed way more than I expected to which was really fun and encouraging. ACTIVITIES: Surfing is definitely the main focus of the average day but there is a lot of other stuff to do around Kuta as well. For example there is a Yoga place right next to the camp and there is a gym a couple of minutes away that offers exercise classes etc. Kuta also has a lot of cool restaurants and cafés which are cool to go for lunch or dinner. As I was travelling alone I thought it was great to have people in the camp to hang out with and to go for lunch & dinner with every night. To summarize, I had a great month at Kura Kura and I am so happy I chose this surf camp in comparison to other ones. The camp is located a couple of minutes outside Kuta which is actually really good since it is more quiet than on the main road. The managers and instructors always had a very professional attitude towards guests, surfing and just making sure that everyone enjoyed themselves. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is keen to surf and have a great time in Lombok. Matt, Steph & Tim - Thanks you guys so much for this time! You’re the best.
