Detailed Reviews
We visited this hotel as a family of 4, spread over 2 standard rooms for 5 nights.
The hotel is in a perfect location with lots of bars and restaurants and we loved how we could walk to the beach in seconds. Lovely staff especially Africa on reception and all the ladies working at breakfast, nothing was ever too much trouble.
Everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms were lovely and modern and cleaned everyday if you wish. Plenty of storage for the 2 of us. Great bathroom with large bottles of toiletries to use in the shower so great for saving on luggage space. Mini bar in the room which we didn't use but handy to be able to put our own water in. Air conditioning was definitely needed and our room was always lovely and cool.
We used the pool daily which was perfect for a cool down and the hotel also provides beach towels which you can swap for clean ones every day.
Breakfast was included in out stay and lots of choice such as fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheeses, breads and pastries along with coffee tea and fresh orange juice even cava if you wanted as well. you can upgrade to the premium but we didn't feel the need to.
We all agreed we would definitely return to this hotel as perfect for our needs.

Our room with a sea view was very expensive, but comfortable. The staff were on the whole very friendly and their English was good. The rate included breakfast, which was plentiful if a bit boring. It is ridiculous at these prices to expect people to pay an additional amount to have an omelette! The hotel was very clean and the decor modern.
We could have done with decent sized cups/mugs for tea and there was a kettle in the room. We could take a variety of teas from the breakfast offering but you had to pay for the Nespreso pods in the room. The mini bar was well stocked, although we took the stuff out to use it as a fridge!
We had an ongoing problem with the air conditioning in room 204 as the sensor did not always connect. We were offered an alternative room, which had a smaller balcony, with no refund! So we put up with it. The hotel faces north overlooking the sea, so those with a sea view do not get any sun. The ones at the side overlooking the mini swimming pool got sun, but the view would not have been very nice.
The web site shows it as it probably was when it first opened. It talks about a spa but we were not offered any treatments and there was no where obvious where they would be done. The āgymā facilities were basic with a running machine in a corner of reception. The roof garden was a waste of space. It could have been nice as a cocktail lounge and presumably too few staff made this unworkable. There are only 23 rooms in the hotel, so it is small with facilities to match and that is part of its charm, as the staff got to know us.
The beach was lovely to swim from and the water very warm. Again, it would have been good to know that there were no hotel facilities so we had to pay E18 for the use of two sun beds per day. The hotel does provide towels for the use in the pool and on the beach.
The pool is very small and there is a jacuzzi which the staff operate. BEWARE the decking as it gets very slippery. My husband slipped and cut his leg badly on the wooden step to the jacuzzi. He went into reception to see if they had a plaster and the person on the desk was unsympathetic and complained that he had gone in and got water on the floor!
The hotel is in a great part of Port de Soller with plenty of excellent restaurants around it, so we were spoilt for choice for food in the evening. We did a day trip on the little train to Soller where we went to the botanic gardens and the church as well as having an excellent lunch.
The staff were good at their jobs but there did not seem to be anybody actually in charge who made our stay special for the amount of money it cost and we thought the information on the web site was out of date.

Dear HILDFIELD, Thank you first of all for taking the time to write your review of your stay with us. We are glad that you liked both your stay in our hotel and the tourist destination, it is one of the best places in Mallorca. We are sorry that you found our breakfast boring, that you did not find much choice between fresh fruits, croissants, different breads, jams, honey, hot dishes, bacon, eggs, Spanish omelette, cold meats, vegetables, salmon, juices, coffees, teas, cava, sweets, yoghurt, dried fruits and nuts and a corner of gluten-free products and vegetable drinks for lactose intolerant guests. As far as the sun loungers on the beach are concerned they are a service offered by the local town hall and no hotel has a private beach in Spain, or private services in Port de SĆ³ller on the beach, it is not something that depends on the hotel so it is not reported. Other point: When for any reason something breaks down in a hotel and the guest complains, the front desk team is informed, in this case the problem will fix it as soon as possible or, if necessary, give you a room like the one you have booked. Apart from the fact that even though you were offered a change of room, you decided to stay in the same room (in fact the air conditioning was working, you only had to close well the balcony). You were offered the same room but higher up, the building is like that, there are rooms with balconies a bit longer but the typology is the same, no refund is possible because the terrace is different. Yes, there are head departments and managers, and the whole team is very professional and above all very caring for our guests. We regret to read such comments, especially when you have been especially attentive by our staff at all times. We are sorry to hear that your husband slipped, it is the first time this has happened to someone. You have always been looked after in the right way every time you have needed anything at our front desk. When your husband needed attention he was given it immediately, and he was asked if he needed anything else and if he was ok and he himself said he was fine and just needed a plaster. It is indeed not allowed to enter the premises barefoot with wet feet because you can slip and hurt yourself as it is informed right at the entrance. Thank you, best regards Hotel Minister Team

I am more than satisfied with the Hotel Minister!
The staff is very dedicated to their guests and tries to implement every wish as soon as possible!
The location directly on the beach gives another special flair, especially in the evening when the sun sets and the promenade is illuminated by the great lights!
The rooms are super clean as well as lovingly and modernly decorated!
We were also given the opportunity to watch the European Championship games on the hotel's own terrace with good drinks and a cozy atmosphere, as we wanted to distance ourselves from larger crowds, here a big praise to the hotel for offering us the opportunity to watch the games in the hotel!
We will definitely book the Hotel Minister again and look forward to our next holiday in Mallorca!
Thanks to the whole team of the hotel!

Underwhelming boutique hotel with minimal facilities. Seems their main focus is to make as much money from the guests as possible, for example even basic tea and coffee in the room costs a couple of euros. Head to the small buffet breakfast and you then discover the āpremiumā breakfast is an additional ā¬7 per person per day. Fair to say not one guest took up that generous offer!
The pool is tiny, and hot leather daybeds make for an uncomfortable experience. Few outdoor games like an old pool table and shoddy dartboard in the glaring sun for the kids. If you want to use the beach out front itās another ā¬25 per family paid to the local beach guys but best to be up at crack of dawn to secure a couple of loungers and umbrella. Hotel supply some poor quality towels akin to large tea towels made out of polyester.
On a positive note the rooms are modern with aircon that just about does the job as long as the daytime temperature remains below 30c which it didnāt for our stay. After 5 nights we cut it short, checked out early and went onto our next destination which says it all. The staff all look over worked and tired as they seem to be at it all day in a variety of roles. We wonāt be returningā¦..

Dear Dan, We are very sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing, reading your review is very disappointing for us too, it seems as if you have chosen a product that is not suitable for the type of traveller you represent. Our boutique hotel has 23 rooms and is not a tour operating club where you will find a variety of activities and games in the pool club. The heat affects everyone equally and clearly on the dates of your stay in your chosen destination it is normal for temperatures to be high, high season in the middle of summer. We are also sorry to read false comments such as the breakfast buffet is small, it is a full continental breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, hot and cold dishes, bread of all kinds including gluten free space and much more, including coffee and juices, you are not obliged to pay the extras for the upgrade to Premium breakfast, and we don't know what breakfast you have at home, just as the beach/pool towels are of poor quality, we have top quality terry towels which are huge, it looks as if you have stayed in another hotel in Port de SĆ³ller. Drinks and drinks in the minibar in the room are chargeable as in all hotels, forget to mention that water is free during your stay in the room. The air conditioning works perfectly, if you had any problems during your stay you could have spoken to our front desk who are available 24 hours a day to assist you with any needs you may have had. The sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are managed externally to our hotel, the beaches in Spain are free, there is always the option to use the adjacent area and make use of your own umbrella. We believe that before travelling it is advisable to get information about the tourist destination, climate, services and everything you need to make your experience satisfactory. As far as our team is concerned, they all strive to make our guests' holidays amazing, they are our greatest treasure. We hope that you can come back to enjoy this wonderful and exclusive place that is Port de SĆ³ller and find a hotel adapted to your requirements. Thank you and best regards. Hotel Minister Team

The only thing to recommend about this hotel is its excellent location. I would rate it an overpriced 3 star hotel and not a 4 star superior by any stretch of the imagination. Everything about it is cramped from the rooms to the pool and attached bar area. The staff are keen to tell you they are the best in Port Soller but they are far from being so with the restaurant not good although the breakfast is fine. Priority seems to be given to non hotel guests. The shortage of staff and general corner cutting is noticeable everywhere with rooms often not made up until very late in the afternoon. To charge 2 Euros for a coffee capsule provided in the room is the final piece of evidence as to just how bad this hotel is.

Dear Michael, how could we forget you .... You were without doubt the most rude and arrogant customer to have passed through the hotel since it opened. I admit that I should have thrown him out on the first day, when you addressed our waitress Iris in a rude and boorish tone ... the day we invited you for a free dinner a la carte.... We have also registered the contempt to all our receptionists .... who tried in vain to please you, and I confess that they always succeed, except with customers who are already bitter from home. Those are the ones who resist us. As a guest you are undesirable and I hope that one day we establishments can rate customers, that would be equal weapons .... and users of this platform, would give fair credibility to those travelers who have a 0 as a customer in several establishments. In any case.... IN THE END WE HAVE ACHIEVED OUR OBJECTIVE, which was to try to make you happy..... and knowing you, we know that you will have been happy writing the review you has written. As you can also see ..... is not in tune with 99% of our reviews ..... but of course, we are the odd ones out. Try to be happy.

Small cosy hotel, ideally located on the seaside of Port de Soller. Very friendly staff that tries to give a personal touch to your stay. Rooms are comfortable, but not 'fancy'. It is a bit of a pity that they charge 2 euro for a cup of coffee in the room (very uncommon in my experience), hence we only used to two free capsules that were offered.
There is a small pool and a jacuzzi (and a sauna, but with an outside temperature 33 degrees that was not really relevant during our stay), and comfortable deck chairs and balinese beds around the pool. A nice plus is the rooftop where you can enjoy watching sunset with a nice glass.
A really positive point is breakfast that you can take outside, next to the beach ; really wonderful. They also have that special breakfast upgrade for 7 Euro, but really no clue why you would take that.
Convenient is that they have a parking at 15 Euro per night (and you really need it, as streets and public parkings are really full).
They have a nice restaurant as well, but that is a topic for a separate review.

My wife and I visited Hotel Minister this September for the second time and it was even better than last year, well-managed with great staff. Diego was especially helpful and welcomed us back with a glass of cava and then we were surprised to find a bottle cooling in our room. As returning guests we also had a lovely complimentary 3-course dinner in the open-air looking out over the bay. What more could we have wanted to start our holiday! Our comfortable stylish fourth floor junior suite had every amenity and a great view.

This hotel is lovely. The entrance is at the back away from the promenade but has a safe car park just around the corner. Staff were really friendly helpful and kind and we had our welcome drink within seconds of our (late) arrival.
We had been upgraded because of my birthday and had a bottle of chilled cava when we got to our suite.
Suite was huge with gorgeous bathroom with lovely products.
Breakfast can be eaten indoors or outside on the promenade and is very extensive and delicious. Most of it is buffet but you can get eggs, omelette made by the chef.
Hotel is right on the promenade just steps from the beautiful beach
Rooftop area is lovely with sun beds and hot tub and drinks delivered by robot!
Pool area and pool were small but spotless and very comfortable double loungers and great pool/beach towels
Our only negative was the drinks at the pool bar were a bit crap. We asked for mojitos and they came with no fresh mint and a lot of mint syrup and were not nice.

+1
This unexpected stay was due to a 28 hour flight delay and we are so glad we got to experience this wonderful hotel for the night. From booking the reservation after an extremely stressful time in the airport the online booking system and response from the staff were amazing. We arrived around 1am in the morning exhausted and upset to a lovely team named fredy and gema who made us feel extremely welcome. We had a beautiful nights sleep and we're not rushed in any way the following day to complete check in which we hadn't had chance to do so early hours of the morning. We stayed within the hotel the following day awaiting confirmation of another late flight which kept changing and the staff were so kind and caring towards our situation when we became quite emotional wanting to get home to our 2 children. They also provided support when needing to change taxi service a couple of times due to last minute flight changes. They allowed us to stay and use the facilities throughout the day. We ate in the restaurant which was lovely before heading back to airport. Definetly the best experience I have ever had with a hotel and their staff team. You are all worth your weight in gold and we will definetly return back to you soon as a family. Thank you so much for your kindness

Sorry, I cannot help you with this one. Walking was our main source of exercise. Hotel itself should be able to help. Enjoy.
