Terrible place, no fish, doesn't worth to come. They claim to stock fish, doesn't seem to be true.

i went to plainfield fishing resort on october 21st of 2007. I am a 15 year old and went with my dad to catch some big fish. The wind was blowing ssw to w about 20mph. Crappies are usually abundant and cooperative off the rocks by the snack bar, and along the bridge. Minnows or jigs seem...

Nice place to Picnic, very clean, many places to fish from. Undergrowth is horrible, probably pulled in over 20 pounds of weeds instead of fish. Fished from Duck Point and did not catch anything, only a couple of bites. Price is extremely high too, 11 bucks for adults. Good Luck!

Been making the trip to Plainfield for years now. The Plainfield Fishing Resort is just the cutest place in Chicagoland area to take the family. We have a blast and we usually come home with something for the grill too! If you catch fish elsewhere you will surely do well in Plainfield. In the summer we usually take it easy...

Do they really stock the lake? I have visited this "resort" several times, and it is usually under stocked. Also, the under growth is horrible in the warm months. Don't expect to catch much. Overall, just ok. TC, Plainfield, IL
