We went to Ankazoberavina spontaneously when in Nosy be at the end of the season, and it was one of the best places we've seen in Madagascar. The boat ride there was rough as we had high waves and a bit of a thunderstorm, but as soon as we arrived we felt rewarded and in heaven. The island is gorgeous, it is worthwhile walking around all paths, the staff were friendly and food very good, the excursion to Nosy Iranja fantastic, and Max's diving introduction felt excellent too. You can see and smell the sea from your bed. We definitely recommend a visit! More

You can wander around the island, paddle through the mangrove bay at high tide, walk up to the very top of the island for spectacular sunsets, swim with the turtles – or just swing lazily in your hammock under the palm trees and enjoy the breeze. The manager, Max, is fantastic and will happily organise as many things as you want, or let you relax and let the island work its magic. What luck that we stumbled across this perfect hideaway for our last few days in Madagascar!
