We recently stayed at the Victorian Inn while my family was having a reunion a few blocks away. I grew up in this neighborhood and have always admired the "Parker House" as we know it. Our stay could not have been better. David and Barbara were absolutely fabulous hosts who made us feel so welcome. The room was just what...

We always look for the old, historic BnB's when we want to stay at one. This one built in the 1840's was wonderful! Very comfortable, cozy and friendly. Our breakfast of Eggs Benedict could not have been better. David and Barbara are soooooooo friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were staying with family. If we ever get back this...

We were on a 3 day trip down the Great River Road and we stopped over for one night here. The welcome and help from hosts Barbara and David is exceptional. They are open, offer a wealth of information about local activities, and we liked the breakfast very much. Regarding the rooms, sure you cannot expect modern luxuries, they are...

My wife and I stayed at the Victoria Inn Rock Island whilst travelling the great river road. The owners were out when we arrived but had made sure that someone else was available to meet us. The property is old and full of antiques that are in keeping with the property. Both inn keepers were helpful and went out of...

The good: beautiful old home. Lots of history and wonderful architecture. The family that runs the place is delightful. Attentive and very nice. Helpful with directions and recommendations. Breakfast was nice. The not so good. The furniture throughout the house needs attention. It is all antique but needs to be redone. The sleeping area is wonderful but the common areas...

Part of the experience for me in staying at a bed and breakfast is , well , the breakfast. I don't care what kind of china or glassware you have, just serve me a healthy and delicious breakfast, and don't serve me crap loaded w chemicals and fake stuff. What we got for bkfst was a nice fruit bowl, with...

we had never experienced a bed and breakfast before and this place is the one to do just that. The owners were so very attentive. The house was built in 1876 and the current owners have had the property for several decades. Its incredible intricate features and details of the home are so indicative of the period of when it...

Stayed here for the Pearl Jam concert (which was amazing!) with my better half. This was like spending the night at my grandparents place and going to the concert. The Victorian style is very alluring. The owner, who has lived there for 60 years, was so friendly. He drove us to the concert when cabs were taking so long! He...

We have stayed at the Victorian Inn on several occasions while our daughter was attending Augustana College several years ago. After she graduated, I was a bit sad that we would not have the opportunity to visit this special place again. Lo and behold, one of our daughter's friends moved back to Rock Island and we had the opportunity to...

I had to stay in Rock Island due to bad winter traveling conditions. I decided to try out a bed and breakfast place instead of usual chain hotel and I dont regret it. Dave and Barb are very warm and welcoming hosts. They accommodated us promptly on the attic room with a King bed. The bathroom is a few steps...

“Try for a room off the 2 main streets for more quiet.”

“I would try any room. They all have their unique features. If you want a fireplace room, the baths are smaller. If you want a bigger more elaborate bathroom, then no fireplace. it just depends what you want. try and go ahead of time if you are able to check out which room you may want.”

“Victoria's Room was wonderful, I loved the decor and the bed was very comfortable. Though do be aware it is a "split king", two twins put together. Plenty of room, so we didn't notice it, but there is a ridge down the center of the bed.”

“we were between heating and a/c seasons so windows were open and traffic was a bit noisy outside...so you might want to put the room air conditioner on low. We had dinner a few blocks away near the riverfront which was enjoyable but I would drive rather than walk.”
