Wonderful stay. We highly recommend Cuckoo Brow Inn. Our room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. There is a good choice on the breakfast menu, and we dined in each night, the food was superb. 10 out of 10.

We visited on a very hot evening in June 2016 - the staff were lovely and friendly and we had a superb meal. The pub is full of character and we will definitely return when we visit again. Child friendly too.

Just me and the other half - first break away from the kids for years! Don't even know where to start! The staff - helpful and very easy to get on with. Do some of them ever get time off! Everyone of them determined that guests would come first. The accommodation - just what we wanted with a few quibbles...

Stayed a week at this fabulous place, great food, friendly efficient staff and very comfortable bed in spacious room. Thoroughly enjoyed my English Christmas there, my only disappointment was it didn't snow. Loved the walks and countryside even in the rain and sometimes very windy conditions. So wonderful to see how peoples pets are also catered for and made to...

Just stayed there on the winter offer and it was superb. The food, the room, the excellent staff were all brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Molly our eleven stone Newfoundland dog even chilled out there. we would highly recommend it and we shall definitely return (hopefully with Molly as well!!!). Thank you for making our short stay very enjoyable...

This was our 2nd trip to Cuckoo Brow and we had a fabulous time once again. The staff are brilliant and made a proper fuss of our dog, Stan. The Lakes are so quiet at this time of year its fabulous. We also took advantage of the winter offer, which is brilliant value, we will definitely return!

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, I am sorry if the service was slow, i will certainly look into this, half an hour is certainly too long to wait, we would normally aim for 10 minutes. We do have a team of 14 staff, so I am surprised that you only encountered 3 of them. I...

We had a family room, well equipped and to a good standard of care. Winter break offered two nights, plus B&B and an evening meal on the first night which was great value. Lovely log fires, staff warm and friendly.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the heart of the quiet village of the Far Sawrey, just a 3/4 mile pleasant stroll to the National Trust home of Beatrix Potter, our Lake District Inn welcomes you to come and sit by the fire. Situated at the top of the hill in between Lake Windermere and Hawkshead Village, surrounded by beautiful scenery, popular walking and cycling trails and of course the countryside which Beatrix Potter drew her inspiration from. We are a classic, yet contemporary Lake District Bed & Breakfast, which has recently been renovated and lovingly restored to its former glory. We now have 14 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, which are a selection of superking size, family and twin rooms, all rooms have power showers, 32" flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities and everything you would want from Lake District B&B. We are passionate about the Lakes, and strive to produce a local, sourcing as much produce as possible from the from the bountiful area in which we sit, be that the Real Ales, the game for our Huntsmans Hot Pot or the sausages for our Cumbrian Breakfast which of course no true Lake District B&B would be without. We would like to welcome all to our little Inn, which offers dog friendly accommodation for those wishing to bring their dog away for a holiday in the Lakes. Whether you are popping in for a pint or coming to stay in the Lake District Bed & Breakfast, our doors are open and our fires are on. Food is served all day, 12 noon to 3pm, 5pm until 9pm. ... more   less
