Having stayed here before I had no hesitation in coming back. As always, Sheila gives you a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The bar offers a large selection of drinks (excellent whisky selection) and the sofa and log burner are complimented by the flagstone flooring. The rustic seating and dining area have their own fires and the...

1st class lunch. Lovely welcoming friendly atmosphere. You don't get any of that at Toby Carvery. Well worth the drive. Others think so too as people seem to come regularly from a long way. Thank you Sheila and staff.

We stopped at this pub last Sunday by shear chance and so glad we were passing. I asked if they were serving food and was led down a corridor to a surprisingly big dining room with a lovely wood fire and an absolutely wonderful carvery. The plates were hot, (a little too hot for me) the choice and quality of...

Photos attached! And tbh I am a coeliac, so am a difficult customer for food. Landlady and chef took time to prepare meal for me and try to find...

I stayed here with friends recently and massively enjoyed my stay. The welcome was warm and friendly, the food was amazing and the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The pub itself is lovely and traditional with open fires which were perfect for a cold January to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine. Nothing was too much for...

Shelia, Bob & team have a wonderful B&B. The room I stayed in was in a house within the grounds & not in the main building. This was lovely we could retreat off & relax in a clean comfortable room. The main building was lovely with two open fires and a comfortable seating area to kick back & relax with...

Englands Rose is more than worth a visit for anyone. You will be given a warm welcome from the barstaff which is usually Bob who has been at the Englands Rose for sometime now. If you visit on a winters day you usually find atleast 1 of the logburners ablaze and sometimes all 3 which gives it a lovely warm...
