This hotel states that it is pet-friendly, but BEWARE, they will charge you $100 which is NON-REFUNDABLE. This may be necessary for multiple dogs in a room or large shedding dog, but not an 11 pound non-allergic Shih-Tzu.More

I would have to agree that a commuter train will get you downtown easy. The old CNW (now Metro) line runs out to Downers Grove, etc. Then you can do the subway/L around town. I believe the train stations have free... More

You will need two rooms, both with one bedroom. The cost deiference is not enough to mush you all together and you will have a much better family experience
