Seriously the best family adventure vacation we've ever taken. Everything was perfect from the seaplane to the island (where our son's got to co-pilot) to the arrival wagon bringing us up to the cook house for champagne and appetizers. The activities were custom designed for your wants/needs each day. John and his team really know how to offer seamless service....

Imagine wilderness camping with 5 star dining with perfectly selected wine pairings after a day of unique land or sea activities and retiring to a stove warmed creek side tent with radiant heated floors in the bath, an outdoor shower and the stars of a light pollution-free sky and you have an idea of this low key but refined wilderness...

I have traveled all over the world to every continent except Antarctica and have stayed in some of the finest accommodations available. I have experienced superb service in places one might not expect it, but NEVER to the degree our group received at Clayoquot last week! Every single staff member, from John and Adele to the guys who fill the...

A stay at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is a once in a lifetime experience that you will want to re-live over and over again. The resort is located in one of the most beautiful locations in the world, and the Resort’s staff, amenities, and unlimited activities match the exquisite location. The accommodations (tents with wood floors) are wonderfully sited along an...

Breathtakingly beautiful describes this very special and pristine part of the world! Our party of four, ahem, "mature" adults were frazzled and fried from the previous days' airline misadventures which evaporated immediately upon arrival at Clayoquot. Cool, fresh air, lovely warm smiles and hellos from hosts (all staff are considered your hosts!), and friendly pups with wagging tails greeted us...

Our whole family enjoyed every second of the four days in this magical resort. Great activities, kind and caring hospitality - combined with great local wines and a wonderful cuisine. The hell hiking day was the absolute highlight! We were sad to leave and knew that nothing on our following three week trip through Canada could top our awesome experience...

Before going to Clayoquot we were kind of apprehensive with the whole experience. We thought we could get a little bored or uncomfortable with the tents. We couldn't be more wrong. As soon as the seaplane landed in that gorgeous place we felt that we were going to experience these amazing days. It is really hard to describe such a...

OK, I am sure you have read a few other reviews and I would agree with most of what has been written. The setting is magical, the staff are amazing and the activities are great fun. Your sea plane is welcomed be John and Adele, the owners, and you are taken to the cook house in a horse and cart....

We have just returned from our third annual trip to Clayoquot. The resort continues to find new ways to surpass each year. We were the fifth family to try the overnight mountain experience this year and what an experience it was. Suffice to say words cannot describe the total experience you will feel. Once again Chef Ryan worked his magic...
