We stopped off here about ten days ago.Very difficult to find.Fortunately we were only staying for one night as there was no control within the site. Our neighbors were in party mood and had music blaring into early morning. We planned to complain the following morning but there was no-one in reception until 13.00 hours

The place has great potential but falls short. Seems to be set up for seasonal campers. It is in a quiet, pretty location but the campsites are not located in an orderly fashion. Some are around a square, overground garden. We couldn't figure out which electrical outlet and septic hookup belonged to which site and the shirtless worker didn't know...

My wife and I stayed for a month while we visited friends in the area. Electric, water and sewer were reliable. We stayed in a 40 foot fifth wheel. The grounds were nice. Facilities were clean. Sites had plenty of room between each unit. The owners were nice and helpful. She actually walked me to several spots and asked me...

Wife and I stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed it. The staff are friendly, the facilities have been updated, there is a nice area for soccer, and a full basketball court with two glass backboards. We'll be back.

We camped Wednesday to Saturday. Almost didn't go with prior reviews but arrived and the park was nice and open the owners were friendly. The pool and bathrooms were clean only downside I wish the hiking trail had been mowed. Everything else was great nothing like the crazy reviews I heard my kids didn't want to leave.

Still mind boggled over Mindys review for August 2015. We have been here since May 2013, due to working in the area. Have been here all that time- except for 5 months when our 5th wheel was having warranty work done. There have NEVER been gunshots fired here- however, there is a shooting range nearby though- periodically fireworks - Mainly...

Horrible?? What? We love it! My 2 young girls and I have been here about 4 times and they always want to come back to the same place. Our favorite tent site is back in the back by the creek. The restrooms are VERY clean, I don't know what those other people are talking about. There's a pool, the people...

This is the absolute WORST campground we have ever stayed at. It is filled with scary people, and either fireworks or gunshots going off all night. We didn't feel safe here at all, but can't find a close enough hotel with rooms available so we were stuck here in this dangerous environment. The facities are filthy, shower curtains are moldy...

we spent our 25th yr annv. here, very spacious, staff very hospitable, enjoyed immensely, would definitely return, be glad to, area is desirable, near shopping, lake, theaters, etc. the grounds were kept well, quiet and maintained. i believe they can compete with any camp site in the area, even enjoyed walking trails, could hardly go wrong with this site, they have the...

there are pros and cons to this campground. we spent 3 nights here while visiting chicago. so here are the pros first: the campground isn't too far away from chicago. it is next door to the dunes. the people who work there are really nice. the sites are really big. there is a field, basketball net, volleyball net, a family...
