The wife & I had the pleasure of staying here 2 nights. We were with a group out of Cincinnati. Everything was very nice. If you go there, however, don't smoke or drink alcohol - not allowed. It is run by the Amish. Breakfast is included. The meals in the restaurant are excellent. The rooms are spacious & comfortable &...

The inn and grounds are beautiful as all the reviews said and the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. I was disappointed, however, in the complimentary breakfast choices. If you don't like biscuits and gravy you have no hot food choices. The walls are also paper thin- we could clearly hear the man in the next room store all night...

This was our third stay at this hotel. The rooms and the Inn are immaculately maintained as are the grounds. There are several well appointed common areas for reading, relaxing,or meeting with other guests.Perfect location for couples or friends getaway. Can't wait to return to the Amish country in the fall.

Can't say enough good things about this facility! This was a last minute trip to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The front desk staff was very pleasant upon check-in and even offered suggestions on restaurants that would accommodate Sunday evening diners. Our room was spacious including a king-size bed. The room was very clean and well-kept. There were plenty of...

Room was very clean, spacious, and full-featured. Breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent. The one problem: it is over-the-top with its country style decor. I suppose if you like that sort of thing you'll be in heaven, but it doesn't work for me.

Based on some of the other reviews here I would say my experience came in a bit below expectations. We were close to an elevator (which can happen anywhere of course), but that turned out not to be a big deal because this place is a ghost town by 9:30PM with a more senior crowd. Walking into the room, we...

When I called about an Amish Tour a lady mentioned the Essenhaus to me, I'm so glad that she did. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is exemplary, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the grounds will be even lovelier once spring really arrives. We couldn't have ask for anything more. My only problem was that the food...

Just returned from an absolutely wonderful overnight stay at the inn. The atmosphere is so welcoming, accommodations are spotless and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I loved the coffee and cookies available in public gathering areas. Breakfast buffet included with the room was delicious and arranged in a comfortable cozy eating area. This inn sets the bar...

This was a wonderful hotel for our winter getaway. In the heart of Amish country, Essenhaus combines lovely rooms and traditional meals for a truly restful experience. There are nice shops to explore, and the baked goods are delicious. The standards are very high -- our room was immaculate. The rate was amazing for a room (with breakfast) of this...
