Story Inn offers suprisingly upscale touches in their rustic bedrooms. At dinner both the food and the service rivaled any 5 star dining destination. I'm looking forward to the Victorian Christmas dinner.

We just got back from Brown County with a two night stay in the Treaty House at the Story Inn. No TV and no internet. Loved it!! We are both big readers and the quiet added to our enjoyment. I finished Gone Girl in two days. We even went skinny dipping in the hot tub. The highlight is the great...

We have always enjoyed the Story Inn and so stopped by for lunch while in the area. Management was different. Atmosphere different. Waited 15-20 minutes for service. Waitress rude. She asked if we wanted to speak to Manager. Manager never came to speak with us. We won't be back.

We have stayed here on one other occasion and when we felt the need to escape for a weekend, Story Inn was a perfect option. We stayed in the Garrison compound and found it to be clean, comfortable and quiet though we could hear footsteps overhead. The gardens were beautiful and my wife came away with many ideas for my...

This is one of my favorite places to eat and stay. It's wonderful to get away from the electronics, televisions, and cell phones and spend some quality time with my spouse. We've never stayed in the old general store because it's supposed to be haunted, but the other rooms have been large and impressive for such a remote area. Lots...

I've known about the Story Inn for years and have been wanting to stay there for quite awhile. The long Memorial Day weekend, coupled with my need for quiet and the outdoors, was the perfect excuse to book a room for two nights at the Story Inn. On Saturday, I went on a 5 mile hike at Gnaw Bone Camp...

We had no idea that there were supposed to be ghosts at the Story Inn, and it wouldn't have made a difference to our delight in discovering this ramshackle hotel in the middle of Indiana. A crossroads village that almost disappeared, The Story Inn is a collection of homes, stores, mills and forge that have been restored and renovated into...

I had heard of the Story Inn before, in connection with ghost stories, so I just had to see it on a recent trip to Nasville. My husband and I thought it was like a little General store, surprise!! It was a quaint little restaurant. We stayed for lunch, my husband had the blackberry bbq sandwich, while I had the...

Story Inn is one of the most unique Bed & Breakfasts in the country. Essentially a repurposed ghost town, the general store and historic buildings now house quaint, peaceful accommodations, and an incredible restaurant. The food, wine, seclusion, and scenic beauty are a perfect combination.

Made reservations for Valentine's day, showed up to be surprised by 'Special' they were running on Valentine's day for $140/couple. I was ready to walk over the prices, but got out-voted by the wife. So - we stayed only to find an extremely limited menu, mediocre food, and poor service. The whole evening was one disappointment after another. We will...
