Our goal was to find a place near Chicago, and this was as close as we could find for this weekend. I read the reviews after I paid for my 3 night stay. Needless to say, they had me a bit concerned!! Gladly, it wasn't as bad as people described! It was very busy, but people were friendly. When it...

Stayed here one night only on a family road trip from Michigan to Mt. Rushmore. The majority of the park contained long term sites, some of them very old and dumpy making this more like a trailer park than a campground. The girl working in the camp store was quite possibly the least charming person I have ever met. The...

My friend and I made reservations to stay there with our kids the 4th of July weekend. After seeing all the horrible reviews we decided we didn't want to chance a long drive, packing, etc. We called to cancel 5 days prior to our stay. They refused to give us any refund even though every campsite was full and they...

Noisy (interstate, railroad, and some of the residents), smelly, and unclean. Read the Trip Advisor reviews. The one time we didn't, we ended up here. Paid for 3 nights; left after 12 hours. And was more than happy to do so to get the family out of there.

Been camping several places in the past I love this Campground the most. had it been that we followed the reviews we would have never came here because some people put some nasty reviews but let me tell you out of the tons of places we have been this by far has the most friendliest people. we have been here...

If you like to camp amongst the fine aroma of the adjacent sanitary station and perma-campers this is the place for you! If you like traveling through sketchy neighborhoods and getting that out-of-place feeling as you camp at this 'campground' this place is ideal. This is unlike any Yogi Bear campground we have been to. Between the people that LIVE...

Used this campground to be able to start early when visiting Chicago. Let's start with the good: there's power, water and a sewage connection. The showers were hot and clean. From here on it will get more negative. A lot of places in this park are occupied by permanent or semi-permanent vehicles or buildings. There's no separate section for single...

We have stayed at several Yogi's in several states, this was by FAR the WORST experience! Yogi Bear should pull their affiliation! As you pull in, you are greeted with a security guard shack, why you may wonder...its not because its an elaborate gated community! The roads are narrow, and awful. There are over 900 sites, most of which are...

We stayed here 8 years ago and decided to return as it was on our travel route. This place has really gone to the dogs. Literally, dogs barking all the time. It seems most people live here full time and don't care about keeping the sites clean. Trash everywhere. Evidently there are no park enforced rules about keeping your site...
